NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FISHERIES RESEARCH (INRH)

is a public organisation endowed of the moral personality and financial autonomy and is a national organism whose activities are turned exclusively toward the management of fisheries resources and the marine environment . It was created on July29, 1996.

INRH is in charge of undertaking all activities related to research, studies, experimental actions and sea/land work in order to assess, manage, preserve and enhance fisheries and aquacole resources.

Preservation of the marine environment and consumer health protection against seafood consumption

Scientific review for the general public and development of aquaculture.

This network is based on 8 stations:

Mediterranean: Nador, M ’diq, Tanger

Atlantic: Casablanca, Oualidia, Agadir, LaayouneMission:

to assess continuously the level of biological (microorganisms, toxins) and chemical contamination of the environment

to serve as an alarm system in case of phenomenon disturbing the ecosystem(red tides, toxic phytoplankton…)
