BACKGROUND:

a. Batch Progress Three batches have been submitted to the Library of

Congress and are undergoing review. Once accepted, they will be added to Chronicling America.

Three other batches are in various stages of processing. See attached document for more information.

b. Resources 2016-2018 Selections Pronunciation Guide Language Guides

c. 2018-2020 grant cycle Two states have received fifth-round funding. If we apply, we will need to identify gaps in Ohio and

Chronicling America collection overall to use as focus for grant proposal.

temperance, labor, non-English) o New cities/counties (may revisit regional selection

strategy)
