Goals of the project:
Contribute to the fulfillment of the National Council for Human Rights in Egypt’s goals and functions as a National Human Rights Institution
Collect, organize and disseminate human rights information
Serve as a national gateway to human rights information
Establish good network connections on a national, regional and international level

The MoU and the library project
• The objective of the Memorandum of Understanding is to facilitate joint projects to enhance respect forhuman rights in either country.
• The MoU will be prolonged for three years today
• The library project is the first joint project based on the MoU
• Financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Application approved October 2007– Total budget NOK 1,2
million

—Convert to the ALIS, member of Egyptian Libraries Network

8. Law drafters (some of whom are represented in the membership of the Council)
