National Competition on Low Cost Automation 11 -12 December 2018: New Delhi Confederation of Indian Industry CII Instute of Quality is organizing Naonal Compeon on Low Cost Automaon to support the Make-in-India campaign by enhancing the compeveness of Indian Industry in the global market. With escalang manpower and rising producon costs, Low Cost Automaon (LCA) is a viable survival strategy for organizaons all across the globe. Indian Industry needs to prepare itself and take adequate measures to face the sff compeon that exists in the global scenario and Low Cost Automaon is one of the tools in the manufacturing sector that could help them face these challenges. This compeon catalyzes the widespread adopon of LCA pracces across Indian industry through sharing of the best case studies. CATEGORIES PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT KARAKURI KAIZEN POKAYOKE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SET-UP CHANGE SAFETY & ENERGY OBJECTIVES Ÿ To recognize the best in class LCA that resulted in improvement in PQCDSM (Producvity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Morale). Ÿ To understand and assess how various LCA techniques are implemented by organizaons in different processes as well as scenarios. Ÿ To provide a naonal platorm for cross learning different LCA techniques from the presented case studies, interacon with LCA implementers, LCA Gadget providers and Low Cost Automaon / Automaon services providers. Ÿ To promote “Make-In-India” and “Zero Defect & Zero Effect (ZED)” iniaves launched by Govt of India. GUIDELINES Ÿ Parcipang companies should submit 'LCA Case Studies' successfully implemented aer 1st January 2016 with ROI of less or equal to 2 years. Ÿ Applicaon should be submied in the format given in “LCA Applicaon Form” i.e. Annexure-1. Ÿ Nominang Companies can send a maximum six (6) Case Studies i.e. one per Category per company site / locaon. Ÿ Presentaons me 8+2 minutes & maximum 25 slides, supported by a small movie clip whenever applicable. 3 Minutes Q&A Session by Jury Panel addional. Ÿ Presentaon to be made in specified format. APPLICATION EVALUATION Ÿ Panel of Subject Maer Experts (SME) would evaluate each applicaon of “LCA Case Studies” & selected case studies shall be presented in the compeon.
