107 Model Career Centres (MCCs) have been set up and additional 100 MCCs are being planned.

21 National Career Service Centres for Differently Abled (NCSC-DA) persons are being run by DGE.

25 National Career Service Centres for SCs and STs (NCSC – SC/ST) for providing employment related training and guidance are being run by DGE.

Now, the overall look and feel of a candidate’s

CV that is downloaded by an employer has

been improved with the CV becoming more

presentable. All data sections of the

candidate’s CV such as Education,

Experience, and Skills now appear in a well-

organized tabular format. The jobseeker can

also download this improved CV from his/her

NCS Account.

These options have been removed from the

Unique Identification (UID)Type drop-down: Employee ID, Student ID,

MGNREGA, Ration Card

If the Other option is selected from the

Unique Identification (UID) Type drop-down

the user will only be able to make a selection from these options: Driving Licence, Voter

ID, Passport, and UAN Number.

For Career Centre Changes to the procedure of User

Registration from a Career Centre ID

Now the User registration through a Career Centre

ID is more convenient for the career centres as

well as for the jobseekers. After registration, a

newly registered user, be it a Job Seeker, Local

Service Provider, or an Employer will get a SMS

with details including their User Name and

Password.

Placement Camp at Bastar, Chhattisgarh Model Career Center, Bastar in collaboration with DDU-GKY, CSSDA, RSETI and Jila Panchayat organized a Placement Camp on 25th February, 2019 at Bastar Chamber of Commerce Auditorium Hall, Jagdalpur where more than 5 employers, various training providers and more than 369 job seekers participated. In this camp, 97 candidates got finally selected for various job roles and more than 169 candidates got enrolled in different training programs.

Communicative English Workshop by Model Career Centre, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore

Model Career Centre, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya conducted Communicative English Workshop on 4th February, 2019. In this workshop, students learned about various important Life skills, Personality Development Programme, Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Team Work etc. Many students participated with full enthusiasm and showed great interest in this event.

Mega Job Fair by Model Career Centre, Guwahati

In an effort to connect Jobseekers to Employers, Model Career Centre, Guwahati successfully conducted a Mega Job Fair on 15th & 16th February, 2019 at Industrial Training Institute, Guwahati. Around 22 Employers participated in this event to look for eligible candidates and more than 2300 candidates took part to get the job opportunity. Finally, 650 candidates were shortlisted and 6 candidates were honored with the on the spot selection.

I am Alok from Khurda District, Odisha. I have Speech & Hearing impairment. Earlier, I approached many companies for an entry level job opportunity against all odds but was unsuccessful. It was only through National Career Service Project which has National Career Service Center for Differently Abled (NCSC-DA), Bhubaneswar that I got the opportunity to work with Department of Restaurant Management, in Hotel Ginger. I feel blessed to work at Hotel Ginger and my heartfelt thanks to the entire team of National Career Service, for connecting me with the right opportunity.

With NCS Surabhi’s dream came true “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their

dreams.” Getting Placed in good company was a dream for me,

but we all know dreaming is easy but fulfilling the dreams is not

an easy job. But if one has proper guidance and does hard work,

he/she can surely achieve what he/she wants. It was our

placement session at GNDU Model Career Centre Amritsar in

April when Companies were hiring students for summer

internships and then on their good performance, they were

offered PPO.

My Dream was to get selected in Nagarro Bootcamp. I was a

member of student placement committee, for the same. I have

closely observed the placement procedure of my seniors which

helped me a lot in preparing for my own placement. MCC Team

took an initiative to spread awareness about placements not in

the main campus but also in all regional campuses of university

which helped me to crack Nagarro Bootcamp

Ankit Sain secures Employment

Opportunity in Hero Motocorp India

I never thought that I will be working with Hero Motocorp India,

Neemrana one day after completing my studies. I did ITI and

wanted to work in technical department of some reputed

company. I registered myself with the Employment Exchange and

also, on National Career Service Portal. As I have a lot of

responsibilities towards my family to support them, I couldn’t

study further. But never have any regret for this as today my father

feels proud of myself for whatever I am doing today. One day I got

an SMS from Employment Exchange for Recruitment Drive at

Nehru Private ITI, Pahersar, Bharatpur. I appeared in the

recruitment process and cleared all the rounds. After almost one

month I got my offer letter and when I joined there I felt very

happy. My thanks to Model Career Centre for providing me this

job.

Discovered new skills and strengths through Tata Affirmative Action Programme I am Khushboo Srivastava from new Ashok Nagar Delhi. I have

completed B.Com (Hons.) from Jamia Millia Islamia

University in 2018. From last one year I was searching for a

good job. My brother told me about NCS Project and NICS –

Model Career Centre, Noida. Then I visited to NICS – Model

Career Centre, Noida for consultation and came to know about

the TCS- Training program from Young Professional (Mr.

Sachit Sharma), he had guided me to attend 20 days skill gap

training and to appear for the interview with TCS. I started

attending training and after completion I was selected for the

same. It was a wonderful experience of my life and really want

to thanks the whole team of NICS- Model Career Centre,
