COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS LEGAL
GROUND
• Articles 62 and 63of Comm. Regulation (EC) 718/2007 define the
visibility and communication requirements of Project
Participants (LB and PP), as well as Commission Regulation (EC)
No 1828/2006.
• Taking into account the cited regulations, the Lead Beneficiary
and the Project Partners will have to fulfill certain requirements
towards the communication activities.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS – LB
Lead Beneficiary shall ensure that: all project official
communication specify that the project has received funding
from the EU, within the framework of the HU-SRB IPA CBC
Programme, by proper display of:
- the EU logo
- the name of the funds concerned
- the HU-SRB IPA CBC Programme logo
IMPORTANT NOTES
• The Lead Beneficiary bears the responsibility at the project
level for informing the public about the funding obtained from
the European Union.
• List of beneficiaries, the name of operations, the amount of
public funding and project summary will be published on the
Programme website.
• The JTS will assist projects in their information and
communication activities. (Guidelines for information and
publicity requirements for the projects in the HU-SRB IPA CBC
Programme)
OBLIGATORY COMMUNICATION TOOLS:
• Promotional material (BILINGUAL- in Hungarian and Serbian) about the project
• One article in the newspapers/public internet site
• One reportage on the radio/TV during the implementation period
• Events – at least one
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR
INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION
PROJECTS :
Lead Beneficiaries implementing projects consisting of infrastructure or construction activities - if
the total community contribution of the project exceeds EUR 500.000 are obliged:
• to ensure that a billboard is put up on the site of the activity
• to put up a permanent explanatory plaque no later than six months after the completion of the project
COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE PROJECTS
AND THE PROGRAMME – LB’s ROLE:
Ensure the proper means of communication between the projectand the Programme (communicate about project’s activities and results)
Provide one contact on matters related to communication
Participate in Programme events
Provide a link to Programme contacts and website on its own webpage
ADVICE FOR LB – TIPS FOR INFORMATION
AND PUBLICITY MEASURES
• Make sure you know what message you want to spread
• Use simple language
• Do not be afraid to repeat the message/information
Tell the story: make people understand what you are doing

• What everybody knows... KISS rule (Keep it simple and short)
• And: Make things interesting!
