Term 3 Week 3 NAROOMA PUBLIC SCHOOL 6 August, 2019
Education Week
Just a reminder that our school will be celebrating Education Week this week from, Monday August 5 to Friday August 9. Our big ticket item for this year is our Whole School Performance for which we are selling tickets as mentioned in previous newsletters. Wednesday and Thursday nights are sold out, however we do have Wednesday Matinee tickets still available.
Our Open Day is tomorrow, Wednesday August 7. We will have our matinee of the Whole School Performance in our hall commencing at 12:00pm.
This will be followed up with ‘Open Classrooms’ for parents and friends to visit immediately after the performance between 1:15-2:00pm.
I look forward to seeing as many people as possible at our Open Day. Four Winds
I’m very pleased to announce that ‘Four Winds’ is supporting the school once again with the Artist-in-Schools program this year.
This means each week over the term, Mr David Hewitt will be working alongside Ms Garcia to deliver a program to the children developing their skills in rhythm and percussion.
It was an amazing experience last year and should be another wonderful experience again this year. Kindergarten 2020
Mrs Murphy has commenced work designing the Kindy Start program for Kindergarten children next year. Pre-school visits are currently being planned and our school is liaising closely with the pre-schools to determine numbers for next year.
The Department of Education requires all schools to submit anticipated enrolments for 2020 by the middle of this term. This is so they can forward plan and be prepared for next year with adequate staffing and resources.
I need all families, who know they will be having a child start next year in Kindergarten, please write a short note so I can ensure your child is included in the anticipated enrolments.
I appreciate your anticipated co-operation and assistance with this matter.
Staffing Information.
I am pleased to announce to the community that Mrs Lyn Bambach, one of our Office Administrators, has been appointed full-time to our school on a permanent basis.
Mrs Bambach was substantially at our school 3 days a week and now she has been appointed full-time. I trust the community will join me in congratulating Mrs Bambach on her wonderful news. Thank you,
Paul Sweeney Principal
