After we removed with
alcohol the French polish,
regilding the brass and
renewed the felt, this museum
piece was in mint condition
again.

was poor. Construction was lose,
boneglue was worn out.
After repairing the lose veneer
and removing the French
polish with alcohol, we
polished the chest in 30 layers.

A very fine example of
marquetry in a table
top. The wood they
used was kingwood,
ebony, amaranth,
tulip, walnut and
rosewood.

in the Hunting room
of the Chateau.
This room is not
changed for the last
400 years .
ESCRITOIRE EARLY
17 TH CENTURY
Exceptional fine example of
intarsia with Japanese gold lack
panels and tulipwood inlay
ribbons.
Choice of wood: kings wood, tulip,
rosewood.
Very beautiful are the porcelain
disks in the upper draw handlers.
They are galleon ships of the VOC.
Probably made in the time the
Dutch did business with Japan 400
years ago in Decima.
