It was late in the 1970’s while working at Coca-Cola, that Mark Drago and Ted Zambelis meet for the first time.

By 1980, the two were best of friends and traveling regularly to the Island of Nantucket and parts around the globe. Their drink of choice? Always a Hand Crafted Bloody Mary.

But… no matter where they went, Ted & Mark were never satisfied with Bar Made Bloody Mary Mixes. They were always adding their own ingredients to enhance the taste of their cocktails. Something had to change!

In 2010, while Ted & Mark were hosting a gathering on The Island of Nantucket, one of their guests, who was a former mixologist from Williams & Sonoma, raved about the great flavor of his Bloody Mary. He strongly recommend that they share their Recipe with the world.  The idea for Nantucket Natural Blends was conceived.

Two Years later, in 2012, Ted & Mark officially introduced to the world, The Best, All Natural and Gluten Free Bloody Mary Mixes. Nantucket Natural Blends was born and introduced to the world in 5 all natural, gluten free flavors.

In November 2013, the 5 flavors of Nantucket Natural Blends Bloody Mary Mixes were introduced to the consumer markets of Boston and Cape Cod, as well as The Islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.

In February of 2014, the State of Rhode Island was the next market opened for Nantucket Natural Blends.

Today, Nantucket Natural Blends can be found in more than 700 retail stores, restaurants, hotels and bars throughout New England. We are also one of the official sponsors at The Annual Figawi Race Weekend, The Annual Aston’s Bloody Mary Mix-off of Cape Cod, The Claddagh Fund, and various other charity events.

In March 2015, Nantucket Natural Blends proudly announces their new relationship with The State of New Hampshire, and more than 70 of New Hampshire’s State Liquor Stores.

Mark Drago served as Executive Director of Film and Entertainment for the State of Massachusetts, and helped spearhead the efforts to pass the first ever film tax incentive in Massachusetts.

He also served as a trusted assistant to three Massachusetts Governors including William F. Weld, Argeo Paul Cellucci, and Governor Jane Swift.

Mark served as the International Destination Marketing Manager for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), marketing Massachusetts and New England to international markets.

In 2004 Mark was appointed as President of the Massachusetts Sports Commission. He was chosen for his political acumen and ability to work with a diverse group of constituents.

Currently, Mark is the President and CEO of Nantucket Natural Blends Inc. NNB is distributed by Horizon Beverage, one of the largest beverage companies in New England.
