Jonathan CourtneyInstructor

Jonathan is a Product Designer and Co-Founder of AJ&Smart. Born in Ireland, he

now works between Berlin and San Francisco, helping the best companies in the world make better products faster.

Michael SmartInstructor

Michael Smart is a Product Designer and Founding

Partner of AJ&Smart. We solve problems with the world’s

most innovative companies - using design sprints to help

release award winning products and services.

Andrej KtitarevInstructor

Andrej is a product designer at AJ&Smart. With a

background in psychology and computer science, he has run

Design Sprints and built different prototypes for

various industries all over the world.

Kelly Howard Instructor

Kelly is the Product Lead for both Design Sprint

Foundations and Intro to Programming Nanodegree programs at Udacity. She

embodies the mission Students First through her

previous roles as a Services Lead and Course Manager.

Your Mentor

Each Design Sprint Foundations student gets their own personal mentor. This mentor will get to know you, your learning style, and will be able to help you get exactly what you want out of your Nanodegree program. They can help you check in on your progress, answer general questions about the program, and guide you to a solution if they don’t have the answer.

With Mentorship, you’ll be able to:■ Get help from your mentor without leaving the classroom■ Stay on track through weekly check-ins

Your Slack Community

Meet and interact with fellow Design Sprint students via Slack. With an open channel, connect directly with students who are online at the same time as you. You can ask questions, exchange ideas, and get to know your fellow classmates.

Your Reviews

For every project you submit throughout the course, you will receive personal feedback from our team of Reviewers. They will share what you did well, and coach you on the things you may need to work on.

You also have a chance to provide your Reviewer with a rating to let them know what they did well in addition to what they might be able to improve for their future reviews.

Project deadlines indicated in the classroom are a guideline for completing the program in

one month. The end date of your term is listed in your classroom.

Class Timeline | Pacing

1 MONTH

Between instructional content, quizzes, projects, and other course-related activity, we

estimate that investing 10 hours/week will enable you to proceed through the program at

a successful pace.

Class Timeline | Time Dedication

10 HOURS / WEEK

There are two components to deadlines:

1. Deadline for passing all projects: a Udacity Reviewer has marked your project as

“Meets Specifications.” In order to graduate a term, you have to pass all projects by the

last day of the term.

2. Suggested deadlines for projects: The deadlines you see in the classroom are

suggestions for when you should pass your project by. There are no penalties if you miss

these deadlines. However, you will be at a severe risk of not passing all projects on time

if you miss these suggested deadlines.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every single student accepted into the program

successfully graduates.

If you do not complete all projects by the end of the term, you will not qualify for graduation

and lose access to the classroom. You will be removed from the program and will need to

re-enroll if you would like to continue. Upon re-enrollment, students will be responsible for

paying for the necessary costs.

CERTIFICATEYou will receive a certification of completion for the Design

Sprint Foundations Nanodegree program.

STUDENT WORK OPPORTUNITIESContinue to be a part of the Udacity student community

with your skills. Opportunities include paid positions as

mentors, content creators, and more. Get in touch with us if

you would like to participate.

COSTThe Nanodegree program costs $299.

REFUNDStudents have a 7-day window from the day they receive access to the program, the first day of their class,

to un-enroll and request a refund. You can do this through your Classroom Settings here:
