The Miracle We wait each year for the replay of the miracle at Bethlehem. The real miracles of life happen when the arrival of the Baby Jesus reminds us of the unselfish giving represented in the life and death of the Christ. The real miracle happens when hearts, one by one, are changed from selfish to selfless, from takers to givers, from looking past our sisters and brothers to look at them with care and compassion. May it be so for us! I have had the privilege of serving as the Treasurer for our church over the past two years. It is amazing to me that from this relatively small community of believers we have supported a $600,000.00 budget each year and have contributed over $400,000.00 to provide a new organ for Royal Lane Baptist Church. The gift of the organ is for us…kind of…but mostly it is for the children and grandchildren who will worship in this place in the years to come. Our founders and faithful givers of the past provided the organ and beautiful facilities that most of us have shared in the past 60 years. And this is as it should be. We must provide for the future of this community of faith. Giving to the church is giving to ministries of the church that reach around the world and within our own family. May this season of giving inspire the miracle of faithful support for this, our place of worship and ministry? Consider a Christmas gift to our church. As we bring this year to a close, may the miracle of changed hearts give each of us the courage to be givers to the future of the faith that unites us in our diversity…our faith in Christ the Lord. The Miracle

We wait each year for the replay of the miracle at Bethlehem. Dear Royal Lane,

With your financial support, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is transforming the world by living God’s mission to serve the most neglected and least evangelized with Christ-like love. In this season of the year we celebrate the hope and love of Jesus Christ and the countless ways we witness God’s work in the world. . . .

This Christmas Eve, please consider a generous gift to the Offering for Global Missions. To learn more about the Offering for Global Missions, visit:

www.thefellowship.info/missions/ogm You are an important partner in touching hearts

with God’s love. Thank you for your gifts on behalf of so many.

Grace and Peace, Suzii Paynter Executive Coordinator

The Christmas Eve Global Mission Offering will go to support personnel all around the world who are helping marginalized people. Our goal is to send $8,000. We will continue this emphasis through the month of January.

Thanks to the generous support of the Foster Care Group, we were able to provide coats and scarves to eight needy children through Metro Care Services. These kids are all from poverty level families and have some type of mental and/or developmental issue and are receiving treatment through Metro Care.

Martha Box and Patricia McNutt had a great time shopping for the five boys and three girls, ages five to sixteen. We found a wonderful selection of warm and stylish coats with matching scarves for each child for less than $50 per child. Thanks again to all for helping these kids and families.

As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion . . . Colossians 3:12.

Thanks to my Royal Lane Family for the beautiful plant you sent while I recuperate. It sure brightens up these gloomy ‘shut in’ days. I am enjoying it & appreciate the cards & kind thoughts. Fondly, Nell Markle

Dear Royal Lane Family,

I was so very touched by the most beautiful flower arrangement. It makes me smile every time I see it.

I also appreciate, more than you know your prayers for my recovery. I had so many prayer warriors working on my behalf that I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

The future looks good and I am so grateful that RLBC is in my life.

Love, Barbara Griffing

Susan Matthews sends her thank you for the flowers sent during her recent illness. They have brightened their home as pictures are taken down from walls and treasures make their way into packing boxes – preparing for the move to Florida in February.
