strength, resilience, and triumph In Nana’s Paradise, a young man overcomes extreme poverty, a dys-functional home, peer ridicule, and death in his family to embark on an epic journey that takes him to England on an island scholarship. family values The movie includes heart felt performances by Keddy Emmanuel, who plays Nana’s oldest child and the hero of the story; comical, exuberant and moving performances by a cast of Nana’s younger children played by Eli Kelvin Peters, Rebecca Chitolie, Shannice Louis, and Nicole Augustin; and strong performances by John Philipson who plays Nana’s husband and father of her children. But it is Mathurin Emmanuel’s dra-matic flair and mesmerizing performance that bind the movie together and set it apart as one of a kind.
