– to give for no compensation,

– to give as a gift, to donate, to offer as a present, bestow,

– to give liberally and freely,

– to grant, endow,

– to cause something to be

Al Wahhab- the constant bestower of gifts

ٌٌٌRevealed in verses 3:8, 38:9, 38:35

Ar Razzaq Root word- ر – to receive something beneficial, especially as a gift,

– to be provided with the necessities of life,

– to receive a portion, share or lot,

– to be supplied with a means of subsistence

Ar Razzaq -the ever providing

Al Fattah Root word ففتتحح

– to open, unlock, unfold,

– to make victorious,

– to reveal, inform, explain, make clear,

– to grant, permit

Al Fattah -The Opener, The Victory Giver

Revealed in vese: 34:26

Al Aleem Root word عع

– to have knowledge, be cognizant, be certain,

– to be aware, thoroughly informed,

– to have firmly rooted knowledge of the minute particulars,

– to act according to knowledge

Al Aleem- The All Knowing, The Omniscient

Revealed in verses- 2:158, 3:92, 4:35, 24:41, 33:40

Al Qabid Root word- ق

to grasp, grip, seize, hold firmly

to have absolute ownership of something (hold in the hand)

to contract, shrink, draw together, collect together

to draw in (as a bird contracting a wing)

to withhold, make scanty, make scarce

to contract the heart, i.e. distress, depression, lack of joy

ِ Al Qabid- The Restrainer, The Straightener

Al Basit Root word- بسط

to expand, enlarge, extend

to grant abundance, to provide amply

to spread, widen, to make spacious

to extend a hand

Al Basit- The Expander, The Munificent

Al Khafid Root word- خخ

to lower, weaken, depress

to make humble, abase

to relax, diminish, subdue

to make gentle, tranquil, easy to deal with

to soften, make easy, facilitate

AL Khafid- the one who lowers (ranks/ positions; The ones who (lowers) brings down; abaser

Al Rafi Root word رفع

to raise or elevate something

to uplift, to take it up

to make high, lofty

to exalt, make honorable, make eminent

to bring a thing near

Al Rafi- The Exalter

Revealed in verses- 58:11, 6:83

Al Mu’izz ٌRoot word ععزززز

to be mighty, potent, strong, powerful

to be high, elevated, noble, exalted

to be honorable, noble, glorious, illustrious

to be indomitable, invincible

to be respected, cherished, dear

to be scarce, rare, precious, unattainable
