Message from the leader of the mission
Mr. Vazil Hudák Minister of Economy of the SR
„I am very glad to visit Iran at the time the business cooperation opportunities of our countries are on the rise. Our relations enjoy a certain tradition and we are confident the cooperation will continue and expand further, not only in mutual trade and investments but also in other fields such as research and development, education, culture or tourism.
During the recent visit of my colleague minister of finance two important international agreements between the Slovak Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran were signed. It was an important sign that we are lifting our economic relationships to the next level.
That is why I decided to bring a group of Slovak entrepreneurs with me. Thanks to the cooperation of SARIO and the Slovak Embassy in Tehran nearly twenty companies are visiting Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture and the Organization of Investment, Economic and Technical Support of Iran. Most of them are already in communication with Iranian partners negotiating projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, petrochemical industry, energy and others. I would like to wish them constructive talks and the Slovak entrepreneurs a pleasant stay in Iran.“
Mr. Peter Osvald Executive Director, SARIO
„I am glad to visit Tehran again. Only a month ago we brought almost thirty Slovak companies to talk to possible Iranian partners. After a short time we have put together this second mission with the aim to support the projects that are already being discussed.
I believe the two fora organized with strong support from our Iranian partners, TCCIMA and OIETAI, will constitute a good platform for the continutaion of talks between businesmen from both countries, and I hope in some cases also an advancement in business relations bringing first fruits in terms of contracts.
There are 19 companies represented, our mission is now enriched also by presence of commercial banks to help both sides to finance their contracts.“
