Bailey, James Lewis
James, 88, Vero Beach, FL, August 26, 2014 leaves his wife Nancy, sons,
Thomas James, Edward Lewis, Eric Larson, and 8 grandchildren. He served in
the Army as an M.P. in WWII in the Philippines. He had a Degree in Chemical
Engineering. He was a member of the PRA.

Sally, Lima, 71, OH, July 4, 2014, had been an administrative assistant for
Polaroid Corporation. She is survived by her mother, Luella Bailey-Reed, and
three sisters Joyce, Forastene, and Elnora. Preceded in death by a son
Christopher Allen Bailey.

Anthony, 81, September 12, 2013, husband of Mary, father of 7 children,
grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, worked for Product
Design, Cambridge as a layout draftsperson. He was a member of the PRA.
Bayliss, Rosemary Rosemary, 68, September 12, 2013, retired from Polaroid. She won awards for
her photos. She is survived by a son and her ex-husband.
Bell, Jeffrey S. (Jeff) Sr.,
Jeffrey, January 26, 2014, Plymouth served in the US Navy on the USS Willard
Keith and the USS Brainbridge. Jeffrey was a proud and dedicated employee of
Polaroid Corporation for over 25 years. He is survived by his son Jeffrey,
Michael and his daughter Teresa M. and 9 grandchildren. He was a member of
the PRA.

Thomas, Lynn, 77, April 26, 2014, a United States Marine Corps veteran spent
over 33 years as a Senior Technical Specialist for Polaroid Corporation. He is
survived by four children: Thomas, Timothy, Sheila and Kathleen and
grandchildren Andrew, Julia, Cameron, Olivia.

Joseph, Waltham, 74, February 20, 2014, was husband of Maryann, father of
David and Michael & Papa to 3 grandchildren. He was employed as a mechanic,
Employees Committee and Safety Coordinator. He was a lifetime member of
the PRA.

Carl, 86, Randolph, May 13, 2014, Veteran of the US Navy and the US Air
Force, was the husband of the late Susan Boudreau. He was a an employee for
over 40 years, retiring in 1992 as a Quality Control Supervisor. He was the
father of James, Peter P. Boudreau, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

was the husband of Libby, father of 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

Callahan, father of Mary, grandfather of Kylie.

Roger, 68, Onset, January 4, 2014, was the husband of Cheryl Campbell and
late Jean V. Campbell. He worked for the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham as a
mechanic for 30 years until his retirement. He is survived by sons, Peter and
Roger Campbell, Jr., a brother, the Rev. Kenneth S.B. Campbell, a step-son
Shawn and a step-daughter Claire. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Jessie, 89, Dedham, July 2, 2014, wife of the late Gerard, mother of Paul,
Barbara and the late Gerard F. Crump, grandmother of 3, and great
grandmother of 5. Lucky was a QC Technician in the Color Evaluation Lab at
1265 Main St. Waltham Bldg.2, 2nd floor, doing color sensitometry. She was a
member of the PRA.

Cambridge is credited with patents relating to the development of the
company’s color film. Husband of Madeleine, 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Scott, 53, Newton Center, September 1, 2014 is survived by his son, Eric
Michael Dalitzky, his parents, Dr. Milton and Martha Dalitzky, and his former
wife, Carol Dalitzky. He served as a marketing consultant for various companies
including Polaroid.

Antonetta, 89, July 3, 2014, was the wife of the late John A., mother of Lucille
A. and John A. DeBenedetto Jr., grandmother of 3, and great grandmother of 6.
She retired after 31 years at Polaroid having worked as a Lab Technician at
Osborn Street. She was a member of the PRA.

Joseph, 79, E. Chelmford, July 10, 2014, husband of the late Mary DeFreitas.
worked as a crew chief in Waltham. He is survived by a brother, Antonio De
Freitas and his sisters, Virginia; Maria Fernanda; and Maria Amelia.
DeMarco, Joseph S.
Joseph, 81, Brockton, August 13, 2014, served in the U.S. Navy during the
Korean War and also in the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps. He retired as a
mechanic from Polaroid. He was the husband of Claire; father of Michael, and
Robert DeMarco; grandfather of Joseph M. DeMarco.
Dickinson, Anne Longfellow
Anne, 94, September 30, 2013, great granddaughter of the poet Henry
Wadsworth Longfellow worked for Polaroid making gun sights in 1943.
Surviving are her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a
sister.

Eugene, 67, Walpole, July 17, 2014, was the husband of Frances, father of
Seanna; grandfather of Harrison and Audrey Chmura; Gene served in the US
Marine Corps in Vietnam and was the recipient of the Purple Heart and the
Bronze Star with combat V. (Valor). He worked at Polaroid for over 40 years.

Bernard, 75, March 12, 2014 worked for many years at Polaroid. Preceded in
death by his wife, Terri, he is survived by his daughters Kathy and Gail,
stepchildren and many grandchildren and great grandchidren.
Dunn, Norman
Norman, 89, October 19, 2013 worked at Polaroid Scotland, US, and Ireland,
served as a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm in WWII
and worked with McDonald Douglas in St. Louis, USA on the commissioning of
the Phantom jet fighter for the British navy. He is survived by his wife Sheila, 3
daughters and grandchildren.

Paul, Malden, September 5, 2014, was the husband of Marion, father of David
Duragano, Nicole Hamel and grandfather of seven grandchildren. Paul worked
in the Materials Dept. at Polaroid.
Dutra, James Brian
James, Somerville, July 11, 2014, husband to Kathleen Ann, father of Robyn
Elizabeth and Bryan James Dutra. Grandfather of Brandon and Caiden Porter
Dutra. He worked at Polaroid, starting in manufacturing, then in graphic design
and customer service.

Ellen, 90, New Orleans, LA, August 25, 2014, was the wife of the late Hollis
Collum Fant, mother of Holly, Raymond Jeffrey, Hollis, Andrew and the late
Gregory Jackson Fant, grandmother of 4; great grandmother of 2. She worked
for Land-Polaroid training servicemen in interpreting reconnaissance
photographs during WWII.

Feyling, Anders “Fred”
Anders, 85, February 12, 2014, had a role building an early model of the
Polaroid instant camera under contract to Edwin Land, who advised him to
invest in Polaroid to affirm his commitment to the prototype. He is survived by
his wife Lynda, a sister Anne, nieces, and many cousins.

John, December 26, 2013, is survived by his wife Virginia, his five children,
Diane, Debbie, Judy, Doug and John, 12 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during
the Korean War and was a member of the DAV Chapter 90 in Norwood.

Robert, 81, Georgetown, September 3, 2014, was an engineer for the Polaroid
Corporation. Bob was predeceased by his wife Janet and is survived by his
daughters Susan, Sandra, and son Robert O. Gibb Jr. and also by his six
grandchildren. He was a member of the PRA.

Thomas, 81, October 5, 2013, veteran of the Korean War worked at Polaroid,
Cambridge and in Waltham as a supervisor for 26 years. is survived by his wife
Virginia, six children, 5 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was a
member of the PRA.
Gilmore, Matilda F. (Iovine)
Matilda, 93, Pembroke, February 19, 2014, wife of the late William C. Gilmore,
Sr., mother of Dr. William and Karen A., grandmother of Ryan, Kaitlyn, Lauren,
and Erin & great-grandmother of Patrick. Retired from her career at Polaroid,
she enjoyed volunteering at the Pembroke Council on Aging and at the
Pembroke Town Hall.

Richard, 78, Bridgton, ME, August 29, 2014, was the husband of Isabelle Fraser-
Gingras and the husband of the late Paulette Gingras. He was an industrial
engineer for the Polaroid Corporation. He served in the Air Force from 1953-
1957 attaining the rank of Airman First Class. He also is survived by his sons,
Dan, Eric and Rene Gingras and survived by 4 step children, 17 grandchildren
and 6 great-grandchildren.

and worked in Marketing and Sales at Polaroid.

Georgina, 95, March 8, 2014, wife of the late Louis J. Goinsalvos, mother of
Pat Hamilton and Richard, grandmother of 4 and great grandmother (Gammie)
of 4. Georgina retired from the Polaroid Corporation in 1982 after 40 years of
work as a Quality Control Inspector. She was a member of the PRA.

father of Michele, Christopher, Susan and six grandchildren. Ken served his
country in the United States National Guard, and as a member of the 26th
Yankee Infantry Division Band. Ken played at John F. Kennedy's Presidential
Inauguration. He was employed by Polaroid in Waltham for over 15 years.

Mark, 83, Somerville, June 23, 2014, served in the United States Army during
the Korean Conflict and was discharged with the rank of Private First Class.
Mark worked for the Polaroid Corporation in their security department. Mark
is the husband to Frances, father of Karen, Mark F. and Michelle and Nicole.

worked as a technician in Waltham and Norwood. In addition to his mother

Janet, Susan, Jeffrey, and Lori, and many nieces and nephews.

Robert, 87, December 26, 2013, husband of Sally, father of 5, and grandfather
of 7, was an electrical engineer in Cambridge. He was appointed to attend the
US Naval Academy and was commissioned as a naval officer.

Janet, Tucson, AZ, 79, January 27, 2014, worked in the instant color film
research lab at Polaroid where she was both a researcher and model. Jan is
survived by her husband Rich; daughter, Diane; son, Alan, Stephanie; and
grandson, Shawn.
Hardy, John F. ”Jack“
John, 83, Venice, FL, August 20, 2014 is survived by his wife Norma, and their
four children, Linda, John, David, and Pamela, his six grandchildren and ten
great grandchildren. Jack was a 20 year US Navy veteran, where he retired as a
Chief Petty Officer. He served in both the Korean War and two tours in
Vietnam; his last tour of duty on the carrier USS Iwo Jima. He worked in New
Bedford.

Harold, Bradenton, FL, 79, March 11, 2014 had several careers over his
lifetime first with Polaroid as a senior manager based out of Cambridge
Massachusetts. He survived by his wife, Linda, children, Jon, James, Joseph,
Laurie, and Karen, and seven grandchildren.
Haulbrook, Harold Stevens
Harold, 84, Maysville, Houston, Texas, December 13, 2013, served in the US
Navy as a Class A Radioman during the Korean conflict. Mr. Haulbrook retired
as a Chemical Engineer from Polaroid Corporation in 1985. He is survived by his
wife, Joyce; daughters, Gayle Marie, Linda Sue, sons, Harold Stevens Jr., Robert
Lester, sister Frances, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

alongside Dr. Edwin Land.

10, and great-grandfather of one. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in
WWII. He worked as a mechanical design engineer at Polaroid Corporation
where his inventions resulted in several patents. He was a member of the PRA.

Cambridge. He was a member of the PRA.

Donald, 78, South Yarmouth, July 13, 2014, is survived by his wife Jacqueline,

US Army, and was deployed as a medic in Korea. He worked security for
Polaroid in New Bedford. He was a member of the PRA.

Donald, 92, World War II Army Air Corp Veteran, Andover, NH, worked as a
mechanical engineer and designer for Lever Brothers and Polaroid. Members
of his family surviving are his wife, Nancy; children, Donna, Paula, Craig,
Marcus, and Richard; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

to 1961. He is survived by Theo Gomez his partner, his son David, and his

Katherine, Indianapolis, IN, 86, May 16, 2014, worked as a Customer Service

William, 92, Concord, MA, January 19, 2014 received his commission from the
Naval ROTC, served on an attack transport carrier in the Mediterranean and
the Pacific during World War II. He worked in sales at Polaroid. He is survived
by his wife Elinor, four sons William, David, Stephen, and Richard, eight
grandchildren, and four great grandchildren with one more due to arrive this
spring.

Lucien, 76, Marlborough, July 4, 2014, was the husband of Rosemary and
father of Matthew, Andrew McDonald, and grandpa to Jeffrey, Sean, Erin,
Emily, and Charlie. He was a member of the United States Navy and a Veteran
of the Korean War earning the rank of Petty Officer First Class as an Electricians
Mate. He also served in the Seabees. Lou was a licensed electrician.

science teacher, going on to distinguish himself in the field of electrical
engineering with 6 patents and significant contributions through his work at
Polaroid, Grumman Aerospace, Jet Propulsion Laboratory and as a consultant
to Malin Space Science Systems where he helped develop the Mars Surveyor
descent camera. Chuck is survived by his longtime love, Darlene, brother, Jon
