Fireside at Norterra Community Association Neighborhood Advisory Committee Meeting

Community Center Great Room March 12, 2014 – 6:30 p.m.

NAC Members Present Representing AAM & Fireside Zuhair Bahjat Brad Lundmark, AAM General Manager Matthew Rohrbach Brett Pickering, FAN Member Services Coordinator Ryan Rice Jack Shaffer Board Member Present Mary Anne Barger Jack Piraino Scott Molnar

1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm.

2. Roll Call

See above listing of those present.

3. Discussion Topics

a. Update provided on the completion of the construction on North Valley

Parkway: The City of Phoenix advised that they are still waiting on getting

control of the street lights switched over to APS.

b. Enhancement requests and Enhancement Fund: Information provided regarding

how the Enhancement Fund is generated and what it is meant to cover.

c. New rubber chips for Community Center Park and/or Pinnacle Heights Park:

The bid for changing the wood chips in the park to rubber was $30,000. NAC

decided to wait on this enhancement for the time being.

d. Solar light installation at mailbox at 20th Lane and Skinner (Highlands): Brad

Lundmark is looking in to the cost of adding a light and the need for one in that

location.

e. Request for additional view fencing at Mine Drive and 20th Avenue: Pulte is

looking in to the need for more fencing in this location and the cost of adding

such fencing.

f. Cell Tower Update: Coal Creek Consulting is updating the easement agreement

with requests from the NAC and BOD and we are waiting to get the final copy

back.

g. Cholla around the Community Center: The NAC recommends that we leave the

existing cholla in ground for now, until a decision is made regarding a possible

fence being added to that area.

h. Trail Head Sign: Brad Lundmark contacted Jarod Rogers with City of Phoenix

Trails about adding a sign and is still waiting to hear back.

i. Request to install grass at the Ridgeview Park: There is no area in this park that

would lend itself to grass being installed without affecting the necessary

drainage pattern of the park.

4. Open Forum

- Jack Shaffer provided an update on the Triplex BOD and the Master Association BOD

negotiations, stating that they have concluded negotiations and will be signing the

necessary documents shortly.

5. Adjournment

There being no further business to conduct the meeting was adjourned at 7:14pm.
