Steps for creating and configuring a

Net2Phone account in Elastix.

The following procedure was created for setting up a Net2Phone account in Elastix. The procedure

goes from the creation of the account at the Net2Phone portal until its configuration at the Elastix

VoIP provider module.

SUPPORTED VERSIONS OF ELASTIX

This guide was developed using an Elastix server version 2.0.4 Beta.

Users with the stable Elastix version 2.0.3, should make an update to fix a problem with the VoIP

provider module. The use of this or other VoIP providers may have errors if the update is not

performed.

The update can be done by typing the following command on a console:

yum update elastix-pbx

Once the update is done, check the correction on the web interface: PBX -> VoIP Provider, by

clicking on "New Account":

The correction includes a simplified data entry and other problems. Now you can create youraccount at Net2Phone and make calls through this operator.

1. Account Creation

To enter the Net2Phone portal you can click on the banner that is in the Elastix.org download

section

Or through the following link:

http://n2pelastix.com

Click on "Register."

You will immediately access a form that must be filled with all the information of the person who will

manage the account and process the funds to credit the account. We include a series of

screenshots with the form for your review.

Virtual Phone Number Information:

Important Note:

It is advisable to choose a virtual number, which is done in "Virtual Phone Number Information"

(see graphic above) before entering any other information, as in the process of choosing this

phone number fields that have been entered will be erased.

This process takes time because there are multiple alternatives, such as the country, state, city,

until the desired phone Number is chosen. See image below.

Once all the mandatory information is filled, click on "send the following" and the account will be

created.

Your Telephone Number:

2. Configuring the VoIP Provider Module

Associating that information with what is found in the Elastix VoIP Provider form, we have the

following:

VoIP Provider: Net2Phone

Account name: Your account number

Username: Your account number

Secret: Your PIN

Outbound Caller ID: Your Phone Number
