N E W S L E T T E R Second Issue for School Year 2012 - 2013
December, 2012 SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR’S NOTES Dear Parents,
Warmest greetings from the “Land-Down-Under”, Australia. I am currently here in Sydney, to spend
Christmas with my eldest son and his family. I would miss some of our school activities but with emails
and the Facebook I hope to be updated with all the happenings over there.
The first half of this school year has just ended and the coming of Christmas Season started off the
second semester. Seems there are many people to thank for all the work at the school these past few
months. Just before the first semester ended we celebrated our Family Day. It was indeed a wonderful
day for all of us. We are so grateful to you, dear parents, for your active support as seen by the strong
turnout of families that attended the event. The staff and I are pleased that the attendance has been
excellent and that so many of you have taken a keen interest in participating not only in this particular
activity but also in other school functions. Your participation strengthens our school community, and
is especially helpful as we welcome new families. We would like to thank and commend the work of the
Committees that included parents who volunteered the day before, the day of and the day after the
events, the faculty and staff for making the celebrations successful. These are big undertakings for a
school of this size. You did great! Kudos for you…
Ultimately, it is your children who benefit most by the strong support that you, parents, give in every
school function. We all know that when parents have a clear idea of what the school does for their
children they become very supportive and committed to the ideals that the school uphold. This makes
us work harder and strive more to achieve the goals we have set ourselves to reach – the full and
holistic development of the children.
As part of the evaluation process of the First Semester’s work, we have been doing some assessment of
our teachers’ performance and of your children’s progress in the various areas of learning. If you
remember, we requested you to do some observations in the classroom and asked you to fill out the
Observation Guide to share your thoughts in order to assist us in ensuring that our school is the best
that it can be. By this time, the results of the evaluation of your children have already been relayed to
you by Teacher Madie, our Head Teacher, and the other teachers during the Parent-Teacher
Conferences. Other concerns you may have regarding your children’s performance can be addressed
through Teacher Madie. Please feel free to set a conference with her.
As you know, we started our Toddler’s Program this year, and I am happy to report that our Toddlers
have finally settled down and got adjusted to classwork with much enthusiasm. It is very satisfying to
see them lit up and enthusiastic about learning.
We all look forward to the blissful Christmas and a bountiful New Year. May God bless us all!
Sincerely,
Teacher Queennie

Everyone in ACM is getting into the mood for Christmas especially that we only have just a few weeks until
Santa arrives.
I would like to thank you for all your wonderful contributions for our Christmas Feast. We have set up a
buffet table where the children are able to use many Practical Life skills including table setting, manners, and
cleaning up after they are finished.
We have been teaching your children in school how wonderful it is to receive gifts but how gratifying it is
also to be a gift-giver. We had the opportunity to be gift-givers to the children of Batang Mekong Foundation.
The kids from Batang Mekong were very happy to receive bundles of joy with grooming kit, rice, slippers,
toys, candies, canned goods and toys inside. It is indeed a great joy to be able to give.
Thank you to all the parents for your continued support, your words of encouragement and sharing your
precious children with us. Julien and I are spending this holiday season being thankful for the many different
people and organizations that have blessed our school.
I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Holiday, and a Happy New Year. May God bless each
your families.
Christmas blessings,
Teacher Madie
