ANTARCTICAGREENLAND
The article offers a look at the efforts of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), an international panel of scientists, to resolve the mystery associated with global warming. IPCC launched efforts to analyze the melting of ice sheets in the polar land masses Greenland and Antarctica. By measuring how fast ice sheets are melting, scientists can estimate how it could impact sea levels. Preliminary observations have shown that the movement of major glaciers in Greenland and the West Antarctic Ice Sheet is accelerating.
