You are advised to write between 300 and 400 words on ONE of the following topics. At
the head of your composition, write the number of the topic that you have chosen.
1. Write about a time when you were late for an important event.
2. How do you occupy your time during the holidays, when schools are closed?
3. Describe three popular tourist attractions in Singapore and explain why you think
visitors enjoy them.
4. Hope.
5. Write about a fearful encounter while on a school trip.

You have just returned from a meaningful and enjoyable service learning journey to
Rainbow School for Children of Special Needs organized by your school for SecondaryOne students. The following are the feedback given by your fellow schoolmates:

1. Language Marks are 15
2. Content Marks are 15
Section Two1. Language Marks are 20
2. Content Marks are 10
3. Students must mention name of centre to gain mark.
4. Students must mention feedback by classmates and elaborate.
5. Students must mention cousin is in Australia to gain mark.
6. Students must elaborate on given points to gain extra content marks.
7. Penalize ½ to 1 mark for each grammatical error.
Different schools have different marking schemes therefore this should NOT be the
