Proceeds from this event support literacy and arts programming that impacts students across every school, including Evanston Speaks: Youth Poetry Project. Evanston Speaks responds to

the rising interest among middle school students in the poetry slam movement and

creates opportunities for them to write, share and perform their poetry.
