BECAUSE LOVE IS FOR LIFE … My Wedding magazine launched four years ago, setting out to give all those involved in planning a wedding an avenue that was fresh, inspiring, beautiful yet real. After 16 very successful issues, we took things to the next level. A new logo, a brand new website, this updated media kit, a new magazine layout and a fresh feel to our page and cover stock of the printed magazine are just the beginning of this exciting journey. From Spring 2013, the My Wedding pages have featured more white space, tailored advertising, beautiful images – a layout to impress, inspire and enhance our quality editorials. The new layout is appealing to both brides and grooms – tailored, without being overly fussy. It also converts more cleanly to our digital formats that are now available in just about every format imaginable – iTunes, Android, Nook, PC, MAC and more! And, because LOVE IS FOR LIFE, we are giving our readers inspiration for everyday life, not just weddings. We want them engaging with the wedding industry LONG after the Big Day!

DISTRIBUTION My Wedding magazine is NOT sold in vast retail quantities, although you will find us in select locations that have requested copies due to demand. We don’t believe in having copies sitting on shelves unsold and then selling them in 3-4-1 specials at bridal shows! If we’re attending bridal shows, we print extra! We have chosen instead to distribute complimentary copies to couples through key partners within the wedding industry. Most of these key partners are venues, wedding photographers or wedding planners as they are at the top of the pecking order when it comes to things the happy couple will lock down. We get to the couples early, ensuring we have their attention from the very beginning. Jewellers are offering My Wedding subscriptions to couples purchasing their engagement rings and we have other avenues to target the recently-engaged, too! Once hooked, our couples then subscribe in print or digitally, and they’re able to download our entire back library to read at their leisure. Printed copies are also circulated throughout members of The Wedding Associates, the broader wedding industry and can be found in airline lounges, fabulous lodges and resorts, beauty & hair salons, bridal boutiques etc. Our print readers extend throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. ADVERTISING Gone are the days of cluttered pages! Our surveys show that readers are over pages full of logos and tend to skip past them. To this end, we’ve introduced “edutorial” space … your ad is your opportunity to educate our readers and set yourself up as an expert in your field. Each display advert will be screened and approved by our dedicated in-house team. If material doesn’t meet our standards, we will work with you to create something that suits your brand yet still meets our standards. Directory Ads and Promo Listings consist of one image and standardised text. Display advertising within the body of the magazine is only available in Full and Half pages. We prefer our quarter page adverts to consist of an approved image, brief text and contact details … tying into our WE LOVE pages. See next page for examples of ad sizes.  PRODUCTION Our in-house designers are able to produce your ad for you so that it suits your brand but retains the integrity of our new look. Our complimentary production service includes one change-out, with all others charged on an hourly rate - $80ph. You will need to provide: Images: We prefer to have a choice of two or three.

These should be at minimum 300dpi, supplied as either JPG or TIFF files and sized to fit the space they will be printed on. DO NOT send images downloaded from your website! DO NOT send images that you have no right to use!

Logo: 300dpi, supplied as an EPS. If you have other formats, please ensure they are high resolution.

Name: Ensure your trading name is clearly highlighted.

Body copy: Provide any tag lines or slogans you currently use, as well as a description of your company in 100 words or less.

Contacts: Include your telephone, website, email. Style Guide: If you have a style guide regards logo

placement, colour, fonts, etc please let us have this so that we can work with your brand integrity.

PREFERRED FONT TYPES If you are building your own display material, we would ask that you adhere to our font practices.
