ORAL PRESENTATION: MY SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Hi, good morning everyone. My name is Arnau Illa and I’m fourteen years old. I am a student of 3rd of ESO at Casa Nostra School.

Today, I’m going to talk about “my summer holidays”.

General explanation

First, I’m going to talk about my family holidays in Lanzarote. Then, I’m going to explain my holidays with my friends in Lloret de Mar. And finally I’m going to explain my holidays with my cousins in Platja d’Aro. Have you ever been to Lanzarote?

Ok. Let's get started.Main body

LANZAROTE: - From 6th at 13th of august , I went with my family to Lanzarote. We stayed in a big

hotel called Rubicón Palace in Playa Blanca, situated at 30 kilometers of the capital of Lanzarote, called Arecife. In Lanzarote I visited a lot of interesting and cultural places, for example “Timanfaya Nacional Park”, “Los Jameos del Agua”, “Cueva de los Verdes”, etc.

• Timanfaya National Park is a volcanic park. It was situated in the southwestern part of the island of Lanzarote. The area is 51 square kilometres. The park is entirely made up of volcanic soil. The statue "El Diablo" by César Manrique is its symbol. In the park we did some demonstrations to test the heat of the earth.

• Also I visited “Los Jameos del Agua”. Jameos del Agua is located in the north of Lanzarote and is part of the volcanic cave system of Atlantis, formed by the eruptions of the volcano of La Corona three thousand years ago.

• Also I visited the other cultural place; he called “Cueva de los Verdes”. La Cueva de los Verdes is part of a volcanic pipe located north of the island of Lanzarote. It was formed during the eruption of the volcano of La Corona, about 5000 years ago, before the eruption of Timanfaya.

• I visited more places in Lanzarote, but the most important places I have explained previously.

LLORET DE MAR:

-From 24 th at 29 th of august, I went to Lloret de Mar with my friends. I went in a beautiful cove, called “Cala Canyelles”. In Lloret de Mar I do the tennis stage. In Lloret de Mar, I stayed in a kind of hotel called Hotel Club Tennis Canyelles. In this hotel, I did a lot of aquatic activites for example “xuro” (ski bus), water skiing , wakeskating, canoe, sailing, diving, snorkel and other activities. Also I played tennis 4 hours every day. In this hotel the meals was fantastic, especially breakfast.

PLATJA D’ARO:

-And Finaly, I stay in Platja d’Aro with my cousins. In Platja d’Aro I went some weekends in the apartment of my grandparents. Some days I went to the cinema and bowling with my cousins, and mostly I spent the time going to the beach. Every Sunday, when it was time to go to dinner we went to a restaurant in the center of Platja d’Aro.

Conclusion:

-THIS SUMMER WAS VERY SPECIAL AND FANTASTIC SUMMER!!!!!
