Did You Know?

• The community sends over 6,000 dogs and cats to the Lowndes county animal shelter each year.

• And only 15 % of those animals are adopted or claimed by their owners.

• In Lowndes County last year more than 5,000 homeless dogs and cats were euthanized.

Goals

• Building lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach programs and the prevention of cruelty.

• Providing prompt, professional services to the citizens and animals of our community.

• Protecting the public from stray animals.

To Adopt a Pet

• To adopt a new pet or claim a lost pet, please come:

• Tuesday through Friday 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.• Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.• Closed Sundays and Mondays

• To drop off an animal please come:• 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, 7 days a week

In Conclusion…

• I had a lot of fun despite the smell in the shelter.

• Once again, I got trampled, it had to be fun.
