My Prayer Journal

Conversations with God

Ephesians 6:18

Praying at all times in

the Spirit, with all

prayer and supplication.

To that end keep alert

with all perseverance,

making supplication for

all the saints.

It is my desire that this prayer journal would be a blessing and an aid in your conversations with God. Most of the information here is not original to me; I have simply compiled and tweaked it from the excellent work that others have already done. The Scripture portions were mostly gleaned from Henry McBride’s wonderful book, Praying God’s Word. There are 31 days of prayer and 31 Scripture portions, one for each day of the month. If you like, you can write your own personal prayer requests for family and friends on 3x5 cards and insert them into the plastic sleeves.

In order to set up your prayer journal, I recommend buying a 3-ring binder and some plastic sleeves. After you print off the journal, place one of the prayers taken from Scripture on one side of the plastic sleeve and place the daily prayers for your husband and children on the other side. The Scriptures can be arranged in any order that you like.

Finally, the most important step is to use it! Pray hard and often, for James 5:16 tells us that the prayer of a righteous man has great power. As you pray, it is my hope that you will grow in your understanding of who God is, and that your faith would flourish as you see God faithfully listen and answer the prayers of His people.

Day 1

My husband: Faithful Father, I pray that my husband will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that he will guard his heart with all diligence by developing spiritual disciplines—Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, and scripture memorization. Lord, I pray that my husband’s relationship with God and His Word will bear fruit in his life and that he would be increasing in the knowledge of God. (2 Peter 3:18; Prov. 4:23; Colossians 1:10).

My children: Salvation Lord, let salvation spring up within my children, that they may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. (Isa. 45:8; 2 Tim. 2:10)

Day 2

My husband: Almighty God, your word says “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord and who greatly delights” in your commandments. I ask that you would cause my husband to always fear you, and turn away from evil. I ask that as a result, he would become a man of wisdom, insight and understanding. (Prov. 3:7, 9:10; Ps. 112:1)

My children: Growth in Grace I pray that my children may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18)

Day 3

My husband: Jesus, I pray that my husband will always remember that you oppose the proud, but give grace to the humble. Help him to always be humble and quick to agree with You about his sin. Give him a tender heart to submit to you and so resist the devil. (James 4:6-10)

My children: Love Grant, Lord, that my children may learn to live a life of love, through the Spirit who dwells in them. (Gal. 5:25; Eph. 5:2)

Day 4

My husband: Merciful Father, I pray that my husband would love me as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. I pray that he would not be harsh with me, but instead would nourish and cherish me so that our relationship would be a picture of Christ’s great love for the Church.(Eph. 5:25-29; Col. 3:19)

My children: Honesty and Integrity May integrity and honesty be their virtue and their protection. (Ps. 25:21)

Day 5

My husband:

Father God, I pray that my husband would not be idle, but would rather work hard for the Lord so that he may walk properly before outsiders and not be a burden to anyone. (1 Thessalonians 4:12; Galatians 6:5)

My children: Self-Control Father, help my children not to be like many others around them, but let them be alert and self-controlled in all they do. (1 Thess. 5:6)

Day 6

My husband: Dear Lord, I pray that my husband will love righteousness and hate wickedness, especially the evils of our culture. I pray that when necessary, he will have the courage to take a clear, strong stand against evil. (Psalm 45:7; Ephesians 6:10-13).

My children: Love for God’s Word May my children grow to find Your Word more precious than pure gold and sweeter than honey from the comb. (Ps. 19:10)

Day 7

My husband: God, I ask that my husband will safeguard his heart against inappropriate relationships with other women. I pray that you will protect him from committing adultery for he who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself. Keep him ever mindful that those who commit adultery “will get wounds and dishonor and their disgrace will never be wiped away.” Instead Lord, help him to always rejoice in the “wife of his youth.”(Proverbs 6:20-35; Proverbs 5:18).

My children: Justice God, help my children to love justice as You do and act justly in all they do. (Ps. 11:7; Mic. 6:8)

Day 8

My husband: Faithful Shepherd, I ask that you empower my husband to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Help him to count on your promise that his labor is not in vain in the Lord. Help him not to become weary of doing good, for in due season, he will reap a harvest if he does not give up. (1 Corinthians 15:58; Galatians 6:9).

My children: Mercy May my children always be merciful, just as their Father in heaven is merciful. (Luke 6:36)

Day 9

My husband: Wonderful Counselor, I ask that you would teach my husband to handle finances wisely. I ask that You would help him to learn how to be content with what he has and help him to keep his life free from the love of money, for it’s love is the root of all kinds of evil. Please help him to be a good steward of the money you have entrusted to him. I pray that he would contribute to the needs of the saints and give generously and cheerfully to your work. (Rom. 12:13; 1 Corinthians 9:6-7; Heb. 13:5)

My children: Respect (for self, others, and authority) Father, grant that my children may show proper respect to everyone, as Your Word commands. (1 Pet. 2:17)

Day 10

My husband: Lord Jesus, it is my prayer that my husband would cultivate strong integrity, and not compromise his convictions. I pray that his testimony will be genuine and that he would be well thought of by outsiders. I ask that he would have a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith so that he will never do anything that he needs to hide from others. (Prov. 20:7; 1 Tim. 1:5, 3:7; )

My children: Biblical Self-Esteem Help my children develop a strong self-esteem that is rooted in the realization that they are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. (Eph. 2:10)

Day 11

My husband: Merciful Father, I pray that you would teach my husband to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry for man’s anger does not produce the righteousness of God. (James 1:19-20)

My children: Faithfulness Let love and faithfulness never leave my children, but bind these twin virtues around their necks and write them on the tablet of their hearts. (Prov. 3:3)

My husband: Lord God, I ask that my husband will yield his sexual passions to You and practice self control. I pray that our times of sexual intimacy together will be fresh, positive, and a reflection of selfless love for one another. (Prov. 5:15, 18; 1 Cor. 7:3; Song of Solomon 7:10)

My children: Courage May my children always be strong and courageous in their character and in their actions. (Deut. 31:6)

My husband: Jesus, I ask that you teach my husband to serve unselfishly, like you did. By the power of Your Spirit, I ask that you enable my husband to look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. I pray that he would have the mind of Christ to humbly serve others. (Gal. 5:13; Phil. 2:3-8)

My children: Purity Create in them a pure heart, O God, and let that purity of heart be shown in their actions. (Ps. 51:10)

Day 14

My husband: Father, I pray that you will remind my husband that “death and life are in the power of the tongue.” I pray that no corrupt talk will come out of his mouth, but only what is good for building up, and that his words will give grace to those who hear him. (Prov. 18:21; Eph. 4:29)

My children: Kindness Lord, may my children always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. (1 Thess. 5:15)

Day 15

My husband: Gracious Lord, I pray that my husband will choose his friends wisely for “bad company ruins good morals.” Father, I ask that you would provide my husband with men who will encourage him in his walk with You, and who would not lead him into sin. (Prov. 13:20; Prov. 27:17; 1 Corinthians 15:33)

My children: Generosity Grant that my children may be generous and willing to share, and so lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age. (1 Tim. 6:18-19)

Day 16

My husband: Almighty God, I ask that you would guide my husband to choose only God-honoring activities so that whatever he does, he would do it for the glory of God. I pray that he would decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another brother, but to only pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding. (1 Cor. 10:31; Romans 14:13,19)

My children: Peace-Loving Father, let my children make every effort to do what leads to peace. (Rom. 14:19)

Finally, when all else fails us, we find that God is enough. That which we most need in life—love, unfailing love—is abundantly and satisfyingly ours in the Lord Jesus. But we so often seek it elsewhere. --None but the Hungry Heart

Day 17

My husband: Loving Father, I ask that you would empower my husband to preach the word. I pray that he would be ready in season and out of season to reprove, rebuke and exhort with complete patience and careful instruction. I pray that what he has learned he would entrust to faithful men, who would be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 4:2; 2:2).

My children: Joy May my children be filled with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. (1 Thess. 1:6)

Day 18

My husband: Everlasting God, I ask that my husband would always have an eternal perspective and that he would make decisions in light of eternity. I pray that he would set his mind on things that are above and not on earthly things. Help him to keep in mind that the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. (Colossians 3:2; 2 Corinthians 4:18)

My children: Perseverance Lord, teach my children perseverance in all they do, and help them especially to run with perseverance the race marked out for them. (Heb. 12:1)

My husband: Prince of Peace, I pray that my husband would be patient and a man of peace. I ask that he would always seek peace and pursue it. I pray that as much as it is possible for him, he would live peaceably with everyone (Ps. 34:14; Romans 12:18)

My children: Humility God, please cultivate in my children the ability to show true humility toward all. (Titus 3:2)

My husband: Holy Christ, I pray that my husband would take every thought captive to obey You. I pray that he would yield his mind and thoughts to You and would only think on things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and praiseworthy. I pray that he will “make a covenant with his eyes” not to indulge in pornography. (2 Cor. 10:5; Phil. 4:8; Job 31:1 )

My children: Compassion Lord, please clothe my children with the virtue of compassion. (Col. 3:12)

My children: Responsibility Grant that my children may learn responsibility, for each one should carry his own load. (Gal. 6:5)

My husband: Forgiving Lord, I ask that my husband will practice forgiveness in our relationship and with others. I pray that you will help him recognize any roots of bitterness that might spring up and cause trouble. Help him to yield any resentment and unforgiving attitudes to the You, Father. (Eph. 4:32; Heb. 12:15)

My children: Contentment Father, teach my children the secret of being content in any and every situation, through Him who gives them strength. (Phil. 4:12-13)

Day 23

My husband: Faithful Father, I pray that you would instruct my husband in being a good father. I pray that he would discipline his children wisely and love them unconditionally. I pray that he would never provoke our children, lest they become discouraged. (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21)

My children: Faith I pray that faith will find root and grow in my children’s hearts, that by faith they may gain what has been promised to them. (Luke 17:5-6; Heb. 11:1-40)

Day 24

My husband: Loving Lord, I ask that you would help my husband to count it all joy when he faces trials of various kinds. Help him to believe that as you test his faith to prove it genuine, it will produce steadfastness in him. As steadfastness has its full effect in his life, may he be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)

My children: A Servant’s Heart God, please help my children develop servant’s hearts, that they may serve wholeheartedly, as if they were serving the Lord, not men. (Eph. 6:7)

My children: Hope May the God of hope grant that my children may overflow with hope and hopefulness by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 15:13)

My husband: Lord, in whatever my husband does, I pray that he would boast in you continually. I pray that he would never boast of his own accomplishments, but only in the fact that he understands and knows You. May his boasting about you always be centered on the cross of Christ. My children: Willingness and Ability to Work Teach my children, Lord, to value work and to work at it with all their heart, as working for the Lord and not for men. (Col. 3:23)

My husband: Holy Spirit, I pray that my husband will understand the importance of taking care of his body, which is your temple—for the glory of God. My children: Passion for God Lord, please instill in my children a soul that follows hard after You, one that clings passionately to You. (Ps. 63:8)

Day 28

My husband: Merciful Father, I pray that my husband will be a man who prays without ceasing so that he may not enter into temptation. Make him ever mindful that the prayer of a righteous person has great power. (1 Thess. 5:17; Luke 22:46; James 5:16)

My children: Self-Discipline Father, I pray that my children may acquire a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair. (Prov. 1:3)

Day 29

My husband: Good Father, I ask that my husband would use his spiritual gifts to equip the saints for the work of the ministry and for building up the body of Christ. I pray that the Spirit would be manifested in his life not for his own glory, but for the common good. (Eph. 5:15-16; 1 Cor. 12: 7)

My children: Prayerfulness Grant, Lord, that my children’s lives may be marked by prayerfulness, that they may learn to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers. (1 Thess. 5:17)

My husband: Jesus, I pray that the words of my husband’s mouth and the meditations of his heart would be acceptable in your sight, O Lord. I pray that my husband would make it his aim to please You. My children: Gratitude Help my children to live lives that are always overflowing with thankfulness and always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph. 5:20; Col. 2:7)

I pray that my husband would watch himself, so that he would not lose what he has worked for, but would win a full reward. (John 8:44; 2 John 7-8)

My children: A Heart for Missions Lord, please help my children to develop a desire to see your glory declared among the nations, your marvelous deeds among the peoples. (Psalm96:3)

Ephesians 1:17-23

I ask you glorious Father, to give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know you better. I pray also

Christ for your glory and praise O God.



2 Thessalonians 1

Thank you Father God and you my Lord Jesus, for the grace and peace that I receive from you. I pray

that my faith would grow more and more, and my love for others would increase. Strengthen me therefore in

my perseverance and faith, as well as in all the persecutions and trials I am enduring or will face.

Help me to realize that the evidence of your judgment is always right and as a result I will be counted worthy of your kingdom O’ God. I constantly pray that you,

Heavenly Father; would count me worthy of your calling and that by your power fulfill every good

purpose of mine and every act prompted by my faith. I pray this so that the name of the Lord Jesus may be

glorified in me according to your grace as my God.



Romans 15

Teach me, Jesus, to bear with the failings of the weak and not please only myself. Show me how to please my neighbor for their good and how to build them up. Remind me often, Lord, that you did not please yourself, but rather you allowed the insults of those who accused me to fall on you. Keep me

aware that everything that was written in the past was written to teach me, so that through endurance and the

encouragement of the Scriptures I might have hope. Give me endurance and encourage me to have a spirit of unity among other believers as we follow you, Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth we may glorify God the Father. Teach me to accept

Ephesians 3:14-19

For this reason I kneel before you Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth

derives its name. I pray that out of your glorious riches you may strengthen me with power through your Spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. I pray that being rooted and established in love, I may have power,

together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. I ask of

you Father God, to know this love that surpasses knowledge so that I may be filled to the measure of

all the fullness of you.



Colossians 1:9-14

God, I ask you to fill me with the knowledge of your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. I pray

this in order that I may live a life worthy of you, Lord and may please you in every way. I also pray that I would

bear fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of you, my Savior. I beseech you to strengthen me with

all power according to your glorious might, so that I may have great endurance and patience. Remind me often my Father, to joyfully give thanks for qualifying me to share in the inheritance of the saints in your kingdom of light.

Thank you for rescuing me from the dominion of darkness and bringing me into the kingdom of your Son

whom you love; in Him I have redemption and the forgiveness of my sins.



Philippians 4:4-8; 2 Thess. 3:16

Help me; Heavenly Father to always rejoice in you and let my gentleness be evident to all. Since you are near Jesus; help me not to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer, petition and thanksgiving,

present my requests to the God of Heaven. Keep me mindful of your peace O God, which transcends all

understanding and that it will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. May you the Lord of Peace, give me peace at all times and in every way and be with me always. Finally Father, whatever is true,

whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, excellent or praiseworthy; guide me to think about such things.



Hebrews 13:20-21

May I always remember that you are the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal

covenant brought back from the dead my Lord Jesus, who is the great Shepherd of the sheep. I pray that you equip me with everything good for doing your will, and may you work in me what is pleasing to you, through Jesus Christ, to whom be

glory for ever and ever.



2 Thessalonians 2:13-17

I want to always thank you O’ God, because from the beginning you chose me to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in

Lamentations 3:22-26

Faithful Father, help me to remember that your steadfast love never ceases;

great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,

“therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him,

to the soul who seeks him. It is good that I should wait quietly

1 Corinthians 15

Cause me Lord to keep foremost in my mind the mystery that we will not all sleep, but we will all be

changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. Then the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed, because the perishable must clothe

itself with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality. Praise you Mighty God for when that

happens the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” Lord I recognize that the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law,

but thanks to you Jesus I will have the victory. Strengthen me therefore to stand firm letting nothing

move me and to always give myself fully to your work, because I know it is never in vain.



1 Peter 1:3-9

Praise be to you O God, the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ! In your great mercy, you have given me a new birth into a

living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. You have also given me an inheritance that is kept in heaven that can never perish, spoil or fade Thank you, that through faith, I am shielded by your power O God, until the

coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this I greatly rejoice, though now for a little while I may have to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so

that my faith, which is of greater worth than gold which perishes, may be proved genuine. I pray that my faith may

result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Father, even though I have not seen Jesus, I love him; and even though I do not see him now, I believe in him and am filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for I am receiving the goal of

my faith; the salvation of my soul.



2 Corinthians 4:16-18; Colossians 3:1-2

I call upon you to strengthen me in my inner man to never lose heart. Allow me to see that even though

outwardly I may be wasting away, inwardly I am being renewed day by day and that my light and momentary troubles are achieving eternal glory that far outweighs them all. I pray that you help me to fix my eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, because what is

seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Since I have been raised with you Christ Jesus; minister to me to set my hearts on things above,

where you are seated at the right hand of God. I ask that you show me the way to set my mind on things

above, not on earthly things.



2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Jesus, I know that Your grace is sufficient for me, for Your power is made perfect in my weakness.

Therefore help me to boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I pray you

would help me be content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I

am weak, then I am strong.

Colossians 3:12-17

Therefore Heavenly Father, as one of your chosen people, holy and dearly loved, guide me daily to clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Remind me Father to

bear with others and forgive whatever grievances I may have against them. Lead me to forgive, as you Lord forgave me. Give me the wisdom I pray, to realize that over all these virtues I need to put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. I call

upon you Jesus, to let your peace rule in my heart, since as a member of the one body; I am called to peace and to be thankful. I ask my Father, to let the words of Christ dwell in me richly as I teach and admonish others with all wisdom and as I sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in my heart to you o’

God. I pray that in whatever I do, whether in word or deed, that I would do it all in your name Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God my

Father.



1 Thessalonians 1

I want to always thank you first my God, in all of my prayers. Thank you Jesus for your work which

produced my faith. Let my labor be prompted by love, and my endurance inspired by my hope in you the Lord Jesus

Christ. Let me never forget that you chose me. I am persuaded of this because the gospel came to me not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy

Spirit and with deep conviction. I pray that you strengthen me to become an imitator of you Lord Jesus;

in spite of severe suffering. Encourage me to always serve you; the living and true God and to wait for your Son Jesus from heaven, whom you raised from the dead

and who will rescue us from the coming wrath.



1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

May you O’ God of peace, sanctify me through and through. I pray that my whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord for being faithful and for

the faith to know that you will do it.



Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus, Son of God, because you are my great high priest who has gone through the heavens, I will hold firmly to the faith I profess. I worship you for the reason that you are a high priest who is able to

sympathize with my weaknesses, yet even though you were tempted in every way (just like I am), you

were and are without sin. Bless you for the confidence to approach the throne of grace, so that I may receive mercy and find grace to help me in my

time of need.



James 1:2-8

My Heavenly Father, teach me how to consider it pure joy whenever I face trials of many kinds, because the

testing of my faith develops perseverance. May I always let perseverance finish its work so that I may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Help

me to realize that anytime I lack wisdom, I should ask you because you give it generously to all without

finding fault. However, when I ask of you my King; teach me that I must believe and not doubt, because if I doubt I will become like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Let me comprehend that if I am like that, I should not think that I will receive anything from you Lord; because I would be double-minded and

unstable in all that I do.



2 Peter 1

Thank you Heavenly Father that through your righteousness and my Savior Jesus Christ, I have received a precious faith. I am grateful for

the grace and peace that is mine in abundance through the knowledge of your love. Your divine power has given me everything I need for life and godliness through my knowledge of you because you

have called me by your own glory and goodness. Through these I have been given your very great and precious promises, so that

through them I may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

For this very reason, I pray that you strengthen me to make every effort to add to my faith, goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to

brotherly kindness, love. Lord Jesus, let me not forget that if I possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep me from being ineffective and unproductive in my knowledge of you. Help me to also realize that if I do not have them; I am nearsighted and blind,

and have forgotten that I have been cleansed from my past sins.



James 1:20-25

My Father, let me grasp that I should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for my anger does not bring about the righteous life that you desire.

Therefore, help me to get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in me, which can save me. Teach me to not merely listen to the word, and so deceive myself; but do what it says! Let me realize if I listen to the word, but do not do what it says; it is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. Help me to understand that if

I look intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what I have heard, but doing it, I will be blessed in whatever I do.



Galatians 6:7-14

Master, do not let me be deceived, for you cannot be mocked; I will reap what I sow. If I sow to please

my sinful nature, from that nature I will reap destruction, but if I sow to please the Spirit, from

the Spirit I will reap eternal life. I pray for strength to never become weary in doing good, for at the

proper time I will reap a harvest if I do not give up. Therefore Father God, as I have opportunity, let me do good to all people, especially to those who belong

to the family of believers. May I never boast in anything except in the cross of my Lord Jesus

Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Romans 8:1-5

Jesus, I am thankful that in you, there is no condemnation. Because it is through you that the law of the Spirit of life

has set me free from the law of sin and death. Praise you, Mighty God, for what the law was powerless to do, in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, you did by sending your own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin

offering. Help me to grasp the deep truth, that in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met, Jesus condemned sin in sinful man. I am truly thankful,

Lord, that because of what you did, I no longer live according to the sinful nature, but according to the Spirit.

Let me not forget that if I live according to the sinful nature, my mind will be set on what that nature desires; but if I live in accordance with the Spirit, I will have my mind set

on what the Spirit desires.



2 Timothy 1:6-14

Heavenly Father, remind me often to fan into flame the gift which is in me. For you did not give me a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of

power, of love and of self-discipline. Lord, let me never be ashamed to testify about you, but rather be willing to join in the

suffering for the gospel, by your power. Keep me ever aware that you have saved me and called me to a holy life, not because of anything I have done, but because of your own purpose and

grace. Thank you for the grace that was given to me before the beginning of time. Jesus, I am also grateful that your grace was revealed not only through your appearance, but your destruction

of death that brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. I pledge to never be ashamed because I know in whom I

have believed, and I am convinced that you are able to guard what I have entrusted to you for that day. Encourage me to keep the

pattern of sound teaching with love and faith in you, and to guard the good deposit that was entrusted to me with the help of the

Holy Spirit who lives in me.



1 Corinthians 7:23-24; 29-31; 32&35

Heavenly Father, let me never forget that I was bought at a price and I should never become a slave of men. I pray that you show me how to remain in

the situation you called me to and how to be responsible to you. Help me to see that the time is

short and that this world in its present form is passing away. I pray that you keep me free from

worldly concern and show me daily how I can please you with my undivided devotion.



Matthew 9:37-38

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore I pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest

to send out laborers into his harvest.
