My name is Chuck Lesher. I am sometimes an author, at other times an aerospace engineer, and still other times, a programmer. I dabble into anything and everything and CAD has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I am truly amazed when I compare the software I started on, AutoCA v7, and Solidworks 2008. I am also an advocate for space colonization and Space Based Solar Power using orbital satellites. Most of my models are of machines that only exist as conceptual designs. This is a J2X engine used on the Ares Second Stage first modeled in Solidworks then manufactured on a Dimension Elite 3D printer using high strength ABS plastic.

I charge a flat rate by the job to create SolidWorks files ready to use in plastic injection molding tooling, CNC lathes, and 3d printers. I never know how long a project will take and charging by the hour is not reasonable at this time.
