Session 2017-18

Class –III

This year's Summer Assignment Theme is

‘My Literary World’

Dear Parents

There have long been concerns about the decline of reading, but the fact of the matter

is that reading is alive and well with so many wonderful books around us. Reading

doesn’t happen. It is a behaviour underpinned by skills and attitudes that must be

nurtured from a child’s earliest years. We need to cultivate the reading habits in children

so that reading fires their imaginations and curiosities. This is the time of the year when

you get the opportunity to spend more time with your child. Children learn to love books

through joyful encounters with interesting books shared with them by enthusiastic

adults. So, encourage your child to crack open the books this summer and share the

wonder and magic of books through the activities listed for each section that will enable

our little ones to have holidays fruitful and exciting.
