MY JAPANESE TRANSLATION OF LAST PARA 30 (AMM) OF
HOLY QURAN
HAS BEEN COMPLETED WITH EXPLANATIONS OF ALL
SURAHS IN DETAIL
All basic concepts of Tauheed, Risalat and Akherat have been
explained in detail in these explanations in the light of Quranic
verses and the basic morality standards required by a Muslim
have also been explained in detail, as urged in various verses.
In the beginning, in order to show the importance of trying to
understand holy Quran, the influencing power of the Quranic
eloquence has also been elaborated with the detailed story of
Meccan non-believers prostrating in Sajda while our Prophet was
reciting Surah An-Najm. As the news of this Sajda spread, rumors
spread all over Arabia that non-believers of Mecca have adopted
Islam. As a result, some persecuted migrant Muslims came back to
Mecca from Habsha due to such rumors. However, this story shows
the power of Quranic verses and the strong effect they create even
on non-believers.
The importance of the obligation to go to Sajda while reading Quran,
wherever it is so marked in the sidelines of relevant verses, has also
been explained.
TRUE STORY OF A NON-MUSLIM JAPANESE GIRL WHOSE
CANCER WAS CURED AND THUS HER LIFE WAS SAVED WITH
THE POWER OF QURANIC RECITATION
Showing the power, influence and the effects of the holy Quran
study, I have also written in the beginning in Japanese a true story
of a non-Muslim Japanese girl whose life was saved by the power of
Quran recitation even without understanding the meaning of the
Quranic verses. She used to attend free lessons to learn Arabic
language at the Saudi Arabian Institute in Roppongi area of Tokyo
downtown. She was told by her doctors that her cancer has grown
so much that she will die as a result of it within a month and that
doctors have no cure for such a wide-spread cancer in her body. As
there was no cure and the doctors had told her just to wait for her
death within a month, she got some audio CDs of the holy Quran
from the Saudi Institute and started listening to them daily from
morning till the time to go to bed for sleep. After a month she again
went to the same doctors and got herself examined for cancer.
Doctors were also surprised to find that all cancer symptoms had
been cleared and wiped out of her body. Thus her life was saved
just by listening to the holy Quran with the faith that Allah has the
power to cure her. (Completed on Friday, September 25, 2015)

BISMILLAH-IR-RAHEEM AR-RAHEEM
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICIENT & MERCIFUL
ABOUT THE AUTHOR~MR. HUSSAIN KHAN, M. A. (TOKYO)
By
DR. ABDUR RAHMAN SIDDIQI,
Chairman, International Muslim Center, Japan
I consider it a special honor to say a few words about the author of this
concise explanatory translation of a few selected chapters (Surahs) of Quran-
ul-Karim, the last and final words of Allah Suhanahu-wa-Taala. It is surely a
blessing from Allah Taala to motivate a person to such a noble task.
The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Mercy of Allah be
upon him) in Arabic of that time about 1400 years ago. With the change in
time, changes in culture and changes in demands of life, there has been
tremendous change rather revolutionary in the values and concepts all around
the world.
Despite all evolutions and changes in ideologies in the world, holy Quran
remained unchanged and braced all conspiracies and oppositions and anti-
Islam movements. However, there existed a need all the time that meaning of
the Quran be explained in a lucid, simple, clear and standard language so that
the people may understand the in-depth message of Allah and His last
Prophet, as contained in Quran.
The Quran has been translated in almost all the modern languages
including the Japanese. But there is need of something, which appears
missing. Some Muslim and Non-Muslim scholars made successful efforts
to translate holy Quran. But there always existed a need by a born
Muslim scholar who has lived in Japan for a long time like a Japanese,
one who has been trained in a Muslim family and in a Muslim country in
an Islamic atmosphere, one who did not change his active life-style of
Islamic Dawah, even while spending major part of his life in Japanese
secular Godless society. Just knowing Arabic language to express the
spirit and hidden meaning of Quranic (Ayaat) verses is not sufficient. The
concept, ideology, and true spirit of Quran must be in mind, blood and
heart of a translator.
Here comes Mr. Hussain Khan of Pakistan, the author of this explanatory
book (Tafseer) named, “GUIDANCE FROM GOD”. This is the latest
and most modern presentation of the message of Quran-ul-Karim in the
current Japanese language with Kanji characters and with easy Hiragana
and Katakana where necessary.
For me it is difficult to introduce the author in a few lines or in a page or two.
Mr. Hussain Khan was born on February 2, 1933 in a Muslim State of India,
Hyderabad Deccan. He belongs to a scholarly family, migrated to Pakistan in
1949 after its Independence in 1947. During his student life, he was a leader of
Islamic movement, Islami Jamiat-e-Tulaba. He was the longest President of
this movement, about 7 to 8 years, before and after the 4-year Martial Law of
President Ayub Khan, during 1958-62.
In Pakistan, the author was an active and enthusiastic leader of the socio-
political Islamic party, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan. In the then East Pakistan
(now Bangladesh) Mr. Hussain Khan played very important role in organizing
the Islamic movement in the fields of students and labor. This earned him
fame all over Pakistan. Worth mentioning is a big achievement by him in
labor field in East Pakistan. Despite being a non-Bengali native in East
Pakistan, he was also pioneer for the establishment of Islamic labor movement
in East Pakistan, which toppled 19-year old Communist-led Leftist labor
movement headed by Chittagong Railway Labor Union within 6-month of its
establishment.
It was here in the city of Dacca, the provincial capital of East Pakistan, that
writer of this note had the pleasure to know Mr. Hussain Khan. This was after
I returned from Japan after completion of my education under Japanese
Government scholarship during 1958~1963. It was an honor for me to have
founded Japan Muslim Foundation, Japan in 1961and served as its founder-
General Secretary till my departure back to Pakistan.
At that time then there was a need of a devoted worker to serve Islam Japan.
Brother Hussain Khan was blessed by Allah and accepted Islamic Center,
Japan and Japan Muslim Association invitation given to him by me and he
agreed to go to Japan for the work of Dawah Islamiah. Jamaat-e-Islami
Pakistan also supported him and released him from the responsibility of
leadership of Islamic labor movement in East Pakistan and provided him all
facilities to migrate to Japan. He arrived in Japan in 1965 and replaced me as a
responsible person for promoting Islamic Dawah in Japan.
Here in Japan he promoted Islamic Dawah and tried to organize Japanese,
Pakistani, Arab and all other Muslims. He arrived in Japan as a guest of
Islamic Center, Japan and worked as its Director in the beginning. He helped
Japan Muslim Association to organize itself and to get a big land for a Muslim
graveyard in Enzan city in Yamanashi Prefecture as a donation from the Saudi
Arabian Embassy through the good offices of the Islamic Center, Japan,
headed by Dr. Saleh Mehdi Al-Samarrai. Later he organized Pakistan
Association, Japan and remained its President or Chairman, with several gaps,
for several years and again he is its Chairman now after a long gap.
From the very early days after doing his M. A. in Economics from Japan’s
most prestigious topmost University of Tokyo, Mr. Hussain has been in the
forefront of Islamic movement in Japan. In the beginning, he actively
supported for the promotion of
1) Islamic Center, Japan
2) Japan Muslim Association
Thereafter, he had been one of the founders of the following organizations,
which are still actively working in their respective fields:
3) Islamic Circle of Japan
4) Pakistan Association, Japan
5) Japan Muslim Peace Federation (JMPF) Mr. Khan has a passion and devotion to serve Islam, Quran and Sunnah.
He is regarded and respected as patron and advisor to almost all Muslim
organizations in Japan. He had been always trying to develop a common
and united platform for all Muslim groups, organizations and nationalities.
He had been always elected as Chairman of all Muslim groups and
organization whenever there was any need to protest against Denmark,
America, Israel, India and Burma embassies in Japan against provocations
against Islam and Muslims in their respective countries.
The present monumental effort of Mr. Hussain Khan since last five
years that may continue for several more years until the completion of
Translation and Tafseer of Quran-e-Karim in Japanese for the
Japanese people with authentic references. His experience of about
half a century living in Japan, his knowledge of curious Japanese
characters, known as KANJI, has sufficiently prepared him to express
the real meaning of Quran in Japanese language. Mr. Khan has a
special research style of his own. In addition to availing the
contributions of existing Japanese translators in the country, he has
also benefitted from 6 thick volumes of Tafheem-ul-Quran of the
world-renowned, authentic and topmost Islami scholar of Muslim
world, Maulana Syed Abul Ala Mawdoodi, his long-time patron, guide
and advisor. Moreover, Mr. Hussain has got support of Japanese
language experts for editing and correcting grammar of the text. This
has made his work more authentic and beautiful.
It is a matter of satisfaction to see that the passion of the author has been
crowned with success and a part of his work is being published now. I have
come to know that the other parts are in the pipe.
It is a matter of great encouragement for the younger generation that at the
age of 84 Mr. Hussain Khan has fulfilled his dream of translation of the
meaning and spirit of Quran-e-Karim in Japanese. He has proved that age
and non-availability of resources are no impediments or barriers to a great
cause and more so when it is a matter of service to Islam and Quran.
With these few words, I may add that I have not tried to write life history
of Mr. Hussain Khan, which can be seen on his Home pages or Websites
etc. I have written these lines with the sole object to be associated with the
noble task which is life-mission of every Muslim---Dawah and growth of
Islam over the world and particularly in Japan. I can very well appreciate
the labor Mr. Hussain Khan must have put in this project because I have
passed through a similar ordeal during my thesis on ‘Dawah Islamiyah,
Muslims and Mosques in Contemporary Japanese Society’2014, for P.H.D
from International Islamic University, Malaysia.
I congratulate brother Hussain Khan for his work, which is not less than a
doctoral thesis.
