My first trip to India.

So my flight is Malaysian Airlines,MH198, from Kuala Lumpurinternational airport, to Hyderabadairport. I left Malaysia around 7 or8pm (if I m not mistaken) andreached at India around 12am(Malaysian time) (9-sumthing Indian

time).

As soon as I landed, the Hyderabadairport people was unhelpful, insteadof helping us to fill the damn formsthey was like,

Go maam, the counter is closing,At a time I felt like,Can u shut up for a moment??!hahaI dont understand that in that formthey were asking for address inIndia. What in earth should u put

when u have no any address in India?And so we (me and my family) justput whatever village name we goingto stay which was, Bageana. Theairport counter was also blur cases,

they din ask any questions on why isthe address, is only a name of village.And some bags, were trashed, I mean

broke. Example, my Nikki masi (Nikitakaur) luggage tore and handle broke.

Once out of the airport, twoToyota Innova cars (I dun remember),pick us up. And that turn out notenough for 16 of us with big

luggages, and hand luggages *noticethe amount of bags?* haha.Then thank god, another car came.And we set on journey to Maharastra,Nanded (around there) to visit theGurdwaras there. My mamiji had setthe money to pay the drivers, whichwas quite, ok ok rate. Along theway, these drivers asked much moremoney than that, since we are mostlyladies. And only 1 uncle followed. Sowe had to pay, more than the rateset. *scared they might leave us

On the journey, my mom lostrs3000 *if-Im-not-mistaken*,magically. We all suspected that, she

must have wrongly handed to thedriver. Omygod. :P well, but we dontknow.

Also, I noticed immediately,that Indians actually cant livewithout horning on the roads. God!Their horn is so irritating at times. Iwill go on that topic soon, haha. Andafter a 10-11hour journey non stop inthe car, we reached at our hotel,Punjab Bhavan, Yatri Nivas, nearNanded, Maharashtra. We reached inthe morning, so we are able to bathand all, after that we walked to TakhtSachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib. Its a

beautiful and way very big Takht.Also they had a laser show which is areally nice show. Thank god we cameon the right day.

We stayed at Hazur Sahib(forabout 2 or 3 days) and there was noheater in the room. You must takeyour ownself in a bucket fromoutside. We visited almost all theGurdwara there including, Gurdwara

From Maharashtra, we took a train,special train Sachkhand Express. This

train they give us langgar(at certainstations). We booked this train 4 or 5months b4 we came. We took thesleeping coach. This was almost samelike KTMB. Except, KTMB is smaller.So the train journey was for 32 or 36hrs. I dun remember. Haha. Anyways,yes its tiring, on top of that, therewere no filter water, each station hadto buy mineral water. And the checkin lugggages is a problem. *If you arelooking for the first class, tip topcondition train, then its considered

expensive. But its very nice, we saw.Its called the maharaja express.Anyways, we were heading toJalandhar station.

Once reaching Jalandharstation, we started to think how thehell we going to get the luggagesout? Thank god, our seating had anemergency exit window. Whichwindow can lift up and throw the

prayers. Damn peaceful. Only 1 thingthe coldness, hai hai. Feels like u r inGenting Highland at the lowest

temperature, with the mist comingout from mouth. Haha

The 2nd day, we packed, and didnothing just laze around.

The 3rd day, we left for moreyatra, which is for 7 days. The placeswe are heading istough question,haha, I dun remember some, but wewent to Manikaran, Anandpur Sahib,Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Kullu,Manali, Amritsar, Mandi and

supposedly go to Takht DamdamaSahib, which we never go becausethe taaya(driver), told its not in thelist when he clearly tell, he will takeus to Damdama Sahib. And givingreasons such as we will be late, gotrisk etc etc. Stupid-ness. Haish.

Anyways, we hired two cars sincewe are 16 of us. We left Bageana ataround 9am, and headed to Then (3)

Koni village, to pick another group ofus. We started our journey at around11. So we headed to everywhere,

So, we spent a night in SirhindGurdwara, Fateh Garh Sahib. At here,in the langgar they had a hot watertap to wash the used plates. Only 1,and rest is normal cold water which Idin know bout it. So, as usual, u haveto wash the used plates etc, andunfortunately, I went to that tap, notknowing its damn hot water will flowout of it. As I turn the tap on,*weather was cold, no feeling onfingers and hand* so I started

washing, and I know the plates andcups I m holding its getting hot, so Itouched the water, I dunno what wasI thinking that I kept feeling thewater, until it really hit my headthats hot water! Godamnit. Hahaha,it happens in the cold weather thatmakes u wonder is this cold, or hot?Haha. Happen to my mum too, backat the pind, she kept feeling the

water, until it hit her nerve, god I mtouching hot water. Aishhh.

The next stay was Takht Sri KesGarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, Its awonderful Gurdwara, and had a nicesleep at there really. We also stoppedby Naina Devi temple (At himachalPradesh). I dunno wats the history.

From Naina Devi Temple, weheaded to Manikaran Gurdwara torest (stay). Godd, since ManikaranGurdwara is just beside a river, it wassuper duper cold. Shivering crazily.We have to cross the bridge to get tothe gurdwara and I will always

remember that I din walk across,each time I only ran across the bridgeto avoid the cold breeze from theriver haha :D. my mum gave me a badnews that she left her med in the car*ohno* well, as her good daughter, Ihad to RUN across the bridge AGAINand get her med and then I had avoidthe dog which is following me aroundme and the crazy driver, and againRUN across the bridge AGAIN, and

actually run to the room. I will neverforget this memories.haha

From Manikaran, we went to

Kullu to shop, yay. Haha. After kullu,we headed for shimla. Where wereach at night on the scary roads.Ohho, my friend,,, roads are reallyvery scary at night, u will never knowwhat is gonna come from theopposite side. No barrier by the road,no divider in the middle of the road.Only thing we did was, waheguruwaheguru haha. My mum and mamijihad a glance at the cliff beside theroad, which really looked deep, downand scary. The thought came to their

mind,if we are bound to die, we will die asa familyI was trying to avoid bad thoughtsand they are thinking bout it,obviously, I did had that thought, butavoided it, hahaha. It was that badroads that make u feel u gonna die.At 1 place, the car leading us, wentmissing, from nowhere, the driver

was telling, where the hell is thistaayaAgain, my mum and mamiji looked

down and looking for somethingdown the cliff, and thought, hahahadont they drop alreadyHahahaha. Really. Oh god.

We stayed in the hotel since theGurdwara either didnt had rooms orits fully booked. Anyways, Shimlalooked so shining and beautifulduring night. At some places u canactually see the Hanuman god statuevery clearly. Which is nice. The hotelturns out not having heater. Haish..So morning 4 buckets of hot water

reached each room, each of us tookturns and bath. Then, we walked outto Gurdwara to have langgar. Afterlanggar, we went for shopping! hihi. Iremember buying few items, nice 1s,since its d cold weather, there wereno much choices, shawls, thickblouses, stuff that we dun use inMalaysia. I also remember running60-80 steps up just to buy Shimlahandwork suit, god it was tiring,

haaaaon top of that it was aSunday, and shops arent open, so

less choices and less shopping. We left Shimla around 12pm, andhead for Amritsar. By this timeeveryone was sick and tired of thehighlands and wishing to golowlands, haha. So we left since,

Shimla and Amritsar is quite far, andwe wanted to stay in GoindwalGurdwara, but the driver said its far,once again, we put up a night inTakht Sri Kesh Garh Sahib.

From there we left and head for

Amritsar.When u reach at there, the roads arebusy. People here and there, autossqueezing in between, even carswere very irritating. So our driversparked quite far away, and told us tocarry our bags and walk. Well well,ppl saw us walking with bags andacted like never see any human beingstaring us from up to down. Quiteexpected. At a place nearby, still

walking with the bags, this carappeared, horning, and horning,which really pissed me off, because, I

saw a sign, NO VEHICLES ALLOWEDI gave way, and shouted, hahaGo lah Go lah, stupid, idiotic,irritating personHahaha, I told u, I was pissed. Evenmum scolded me, haha. But I had areason. haha

Reached there, 70% of the hotelswere fully booked, *this is in front ofthe gurdwara near the langgar* Mymamiji went on hotel search, somewere irritating, asking for passport,

which we didnt bring along as wewere scared it might be misplaced. Imean, doesnt our face says it all?!Haha, anyways at last we found ahotel, but had to squeeze and stay.Nvm, sharing and squeezing is caringhaha.

As I entered the Golden Temple, Ihad a weird feeling like, something isin u. like something make u go, Wow,

and make u go waheguru, like ureached somewhere u always wantedto be. Haha. Thats the feeling. What

I dont understand is why dun theyallow taking picture inside the Goldentemple. The interior is reallymagnificent. I really did not regret

coming India

We went during night time, dinnertime, I got an experience to seegolden temple in the night, it lookwonderful, looks like its shining :P.Then ate langgar and went shoppingspree! Haha. The suits was supercheap and nice, we bought and

bought and bought and bought andbought, haha.

Then the next morning we wentagain, for the last time, the templelooked as beautiful as always I see inpictures. Really. Again, we went forshopping hehe. So we packed ourbags, got ready, and by 2pm we left,we visit 2 or 3 gurdwara. At the lastgurdwara, we were supposed to

complete visiting Takth DamdamaSahib, which we didnt because wewere late. At 7pm we stopped at

panch(5) griiien or sumthing likethat hehe. To shift bags and places.So a group went back 3(Then) Koni,and we, another group went back ourpind, Bageana.

During my stay there, I had fun,sleeping, exploring, walking,shopping. We went to almost all thecities, Faridkot, Kotkapura, Ludhiana,Muktsar, Gonian di Mandi etc etc.nice ey? Hehe.We hired a car to take us to relatives

house. We also hired to take us tothese to Gurdwara and Takht:1. Gurdwara Muktsar Sahib1. Takht Sri Damdama Sahib

Slowly, slowly the days past anddidnt notice that its already thetime to go, yeap I did tear, when I mgoing *notshytosayit*. India and itshospitality at the pind really touchedmy heart. I had fun going to the keth,

take some pic with the greenerywhich u hardly find like that in msia. Imiss the rotia with makhani, saag,

alu mater. White raddish roti was mylast and fave meal, hehe. Overall, itsreally nice. Infact I had my first, firsttime ever ride motorbike, auto,bicycle, tempo, traveler haha almostall.

Anyways, we left Bageana at correct12pm, with a Traveller, and headedto Delhi, Bangla Sahib. On the way, atthe entrance of Delhi border, policestopped us. They wanted to check ourbags?! WHAT?? Hello, we are family

traveling together. God they alsosaid u must have permit to enterDelhi? WHAT?? Its like asking permitto enter Kuala Lumpur from Selangor.Haahha. In the same country butneed permit, what kinda rule is that?And why u need to check bags, whenwe have passports and isnt that theairports job? God, Indian police ur rreally crazy.

When reached at Bangla sahib,we checked and did not had enoughrooms, so we put up a night in the

Darbar Sahib. When a man, told us,to rest in the library. In completedarkness, in complete coldness,without any raajai, blanket we sleptthere on the floor. Goddamnit. Aaah. Inever had any sleep with so much ofnoise. Good god.

Morning we had langgar andleft for airport at 8am, and our flightis 12pm, check in at 10 am. Guesswhat the driver said, from BanglaSahib, to IGI Airport is 2 hours, which

was only for 20min. Stupid driver,reallllllyyyy dumbo. We had to wait,until we could enter since we are 1and half hour early. Ohmygod. Luckilythe gate/terminal opened earlier. Ifnot I would be cursing the driver. Webid bye to my Grandfather and heleft.

Went to the terminal, where ablur guard was confusing me with diffpeople.

So we left India, at 12.45pm, on10 December 2011, with MalaysianAirlines, MH173. And reachedMalaysia safely at 9.15pm(Malaysian

Timing)(7 sumthing Indian Time).

Would like to story some,experience about cars, lorries andhorning problems. If u dun like noise,please do take earplugs, the amountof noise I heard is heck a lot. U willget sick of hearing it. Omg, Lorries,when they overtake, *pppiiitttpiitt*all the way until they overtake. Thatslike torture!!!!haha.. Worstexperience, at ludhiana, at thebazaars. A swift car can actually fit,

in the bazaar, horning ppl, and likeseriously, the stupid swift car hornwas so irriitataing, it was looouuudI feeling like wanna puke, I felt sick ofthe noise, coz that car was behind

me, since its moving slow it kepthorning moving people out of hisway. Buses there are also same, I

was in the car Traffic was slowmoving, and theres no way to movein front. Came a bus behind us, kepthorning. Omg, I felt like wanna throwa rock or something at him, its sobloody noticeable, that theres noplace in front, why horn??!! Omg.Really, they love horning. Its sonoisy. Yet they horn. Like they haveno ears. GoshLorries, cars, busseseven though its an empty road theywill horn like nobodys business. Ontop of that, they have colourful

horns, what I mean, is different kindsounds of horns. Haha. I guess thatswhy they say, To travel in India youneed, good driver, good horns, andgood luck. haha. Thats all for thehorning topic, haha. :P

Anyways, I just wanna tell that,India is a nice country, just need totravel, and adjust, give and take, uwill soon love the country just like I m
