Calamity Jane was one of my favorite tall tales because she was a woman who knew how to do gun tricks and was in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show.

Anansi the Spider

This is one of my favorite tall tales because it’s about a spider who always tries to get something for nothing. It’s very funny that he gets himself into hairy situations and he still never learns his lesson!

Arkansas Traveler

Arkansas Traveler is a favorite of mine. First because it comes with a song that was written to go along with it, but also because it is set in the mountains at a cabin and the wilderness is my favorite place to be.
