Wish – Book Report The book Wish is written by Felice Arena and this book contains 122 pages. It was first published by HarperCollinsPublishers in 1999 but also was published by Penguin books later on after an amount of years. I chose to read this book because it was put on the list for my school items and books for the year. The main characters of the book are Seb, a kid devoted his life to catch 100 planes to bring his mother back to full health and heal her from leukaemia all by making a mega wish. He is a champ for doing what he has done just for his mum unwillingly complicated disease called leukaemia. Jack, he is a local city boy who one day becomes friends with Seb after he makes it down devil’s ramp and he is also another kid devoted to help Seb find his 100th plane which is what Jack wished for. The other characters are Seb’s mother, she was infected with leukaemia. Tom, the farm helper who is looking after Seb, Seb’s Mother and Alex. Alex, he is the reason that Seb is trying to make a mega wish to get rid of his mum’s leukaemia but Seb didn’t know it was a joke. Madeline, she is Jack’s sister and she is the one who helps look after Seb and help look for planes. Macka, a bully that gets Seb arrested. The Bikers, they are a group of people who give Seb a ride to the airport until he falls off the bike in the middle of the city and report him to the police. Wish is a Fictional book set in an American/Australian type surrounding from the Farming fields to the big City. Set in the 21st century and in a plane the book shows love, anger and jealousy. Seb is trying to find 100 planes for a mega wish and after making heaps of friends he finally gets to his 100th. His friend Jack flew out to his farm house in the 100th plane just to say that his mother is saved. The only reason he went was because he is the donor for Seb’s mother’s bone marrow. My final thoughts on Wish are that it’s a touching story but I don’t like it, it is a waste of time just to read a predictable book. I hated it because it’s just a kid tricked into catching one hundred planes and that sucks because he steals for Macka but runs out of the shop to catch a plane. But I learned that Down syndrome is very difficult to live with and that people can go a long way just to see a family member live longer.

Should animals be caged? I think no because wild animals need miles and miles of room to be able to run around freely and to remain sane, which is definitely not what happens with animals that are kept in cages. Animals that are locked away in cages will go crazy, they can attack their own species, they can become destructive and they will sometimes even kill themselves. Scientists say that there is a certain territory or space that is needed by every animal. If this certain amount of space is not given to that animal, scientists have proved that the animal will go insane. A zoo is like a human experience because it’s an unnatural situation, of which animals are forced to live in a closed, terrible state, for an inhumane exhibition. While sometimes it seems cruel to have animals caged at the zoo, it always can be rewarding as sometimes it is the zoo that keeps rare species from becoming extinct. Cages are also used for animals for carting them around, like on the back of a Ute. It is safer to cart animals in cages as long as they have area to move and a cover over the top for shade, Dogs often are carted this way as it is safer than a chain on the back of a vehicle. Cages are also used for medical reasons, a animal that has been injured needs to be kept in a confined space, so that there is not a great amount of movement so that only injures can be healed faster. Animals that have been caged for any length of time also need to be walked or exercised so that they do not go crazy. You could also say that a prisoner is also a caged animal. A prison cell is basically a cage that keeps a human sane like an animal. Prisoners need to be kept in a cell to stop them interacting with others as sometimes they are very dangerous not only to themselves but to others as well. They also need an area to be able to move around just as a animal does. Prisoners can turn on each other just as animals will, especially when they have been kept in a confined space. Another type of cage is a shark cage. Shark cages are needed by scientists and also keen shark watches to protect the diver from the possibility of being attacked by a shark. These heavy metal cages stop sharks from getting to the divers that is observing them. This is a very safe way of shark watching as this will prevent shark attacks. A very common cage that is found in a lot of homes is the bird cage. Birds are kept in cages as household pets as long as they are kept clean and given plenty of seeds and fresh water, a bird can live for up to 100 years. The size of the cage is based on the size of the bird as long as the bird is cared for accordingly they will have a very healthy and along life. So to sum all of this up cages can be used as a cruel thing and can also be used as good things. Cages are needed for everyday life to keep animals and humans safe. Cages should not be abused for any reason other than for the best interest for the occasion.

Graffiti – Public nuisance or Imaginative art Graffiti is drawings or words that are scratched, painted, or sprayed on walls or other surfaces in public places and I agree to that as a art form. First of all, Graffiti is an astonishing, wonderful, spectacular, artful way to make things change from boring to O.M.G. If you look past your soulless heart and avoid the war against graffiti, you will see that the artful side of graffiti will arise. In addition, a lot of people hate graffiti but I say “If you have got a problem than go cry to your mamas because only a fraction of people are good at graffiti and if we take it away we are taking the future, heart and soul of art away. I have to say LET THE YOUNG AND OLD BE FREE.” To Complete, If such thing is to happen than just make a building for the imaginative, artful minds. Just think a place for people who are passionate about graffiti can make a beautiful place look even better. It would be full of peace, harmony and potential. It is art for someone to paint a tag or any other colourful, artful, illustrative, crafty, devious, graphical graffiti design.

Wallet draining internet school and how it effect’s you Traditionally over the years it has been schooling offline but now we are the future and we need to act and stay offline. Firstly, a laptop worth $10,000 would you waste something of such value to things such as: viruses, hackers and power surges. In addition, we need our main vitamins that we can get, but the biggest main vitamin is hard to get from inside and that vitamin is produced by the sun. Finally, it costs heaps to go online and addition to that is the cost to enrol for a couple of months. If something has been wrecked it can be replaced with a cheap price but online it’s the opposite because if something breaks have fun selling your wallet for money. Now’s the time to act and stay away from that maze which is called the World Wide Web!
