UNIT 3

WHERE IS ELLIS ISLAND ?

Ellis Island is a small island in New York Bay. It is in the waters of the New Jersey, but now it belongs to the state of New York. Samuel Ellis owned the island in the 1770s A lot of immigrants arrived there in the USA from the end of the 18th century to 1954.
