Our own “Parlament català” has it's own president who is democraticaly elected every 4 years.

Catalonia is divided into:

-Genaralitat: Is the group of people who rule Catalonia

-Parlament: Is the place where they decide the rules, etc.

CAGA TIÓ:Caga Tió is a party to be held on 24th December in Catalonia. It's a tree trunk with legs, eyes, nose, a mouth and sometimes even a tail. Children hit him with sticks and sing a song. Then they hide and the tió poos out presents and sweets.

SARDANES:Sardanes is a traditional dance in Catalonia.

THE BARRETINA:The barretina was a traditional hat in catalonia, but now it's not as popular.

NATIONAL DAY:National day of Catalonia is 11 of Octouber.Remember that we annular institutions and civil liberties of Catalonia.

THE TRHEE KINGSIs a traditional festival that takes place on 5th January.In January four to nine in the evening the three kings pass on a float and give candy

to children who collect them in “ fanelets” paper lanterns. At night the Kings deliver presents to the houses of the children.

The Basque Country: The Basque Coutry is an autonomous Spanish community. We are mainly in Catalonia, so we are Catalans. The Basque Comunity is located North west of Catalonia.

This is a basquecountry, These provinces have : Biscaya, Araya , Gipuskoa, Navarra, Baja navarra, Labourd, Soul

The basque country is in Spain, is a small autonomous. There are close to the beach and have very good views. Many people go on holiday there because it is very nice.

Cuisine: They eat lots of soup, much like the stock. Also there are lot of sausage.

Languages: The language is ''ESPAÑOL'' or '' EUSKERA''

Famous people: Karlos Arguiñano and Juan María Arzac is a chef.
