When it came to thebasic look of my contentspage, I wanted it to bewhite, as the front coverwas black, but I alsowanted the samecharacteristics andgraphical features of myfront cover, so thebackground of my contentspage is a brushdownloaded fromhttp://psbrushes.net

The handprint is alsofrom http://psbrushes.netI wanted it to be edgyand recogniseable, but not to divert attention fromthe main features of mycontents page, so I made it into a faded blood redas opposed to a boldermore oblique red.The paperclip is inspiredby research into collegemagazines, the magazineThe Underground Art School,had a DIY style that includedartwork and colourful drawings,but still retained a high qualitylook.

I included the headphonesbecause it would project my ideaof a performing and creative artscollege, I made them blackbecause I wanted all of myfeatures to stand out against thewhite background. I included thecracks and the syringe to makethe contents page look moreedgy.

When I mention theinterview with KyannaSutton, as I have on myfront cover and mycontents page, I wantto include interestingquotes that would attract attentionand give an insight intowhat kind of articles mycollege magazinewould include. Kyannacommenting on Banksyportrays an interestingview, and it also keepswithin the theme of anart college magazine.

I used multi coloured DYMO labelsbecause not only do I think theystand out as opposed to usualMicrosoft fonts, they are includedin my other half of the contentspage and on my CD cover inanother preliminary task, althoughI wanted my magazine to be anoppurtunity to experiment withdifferent computer programmes,images and features, I want all ofmy work to have some form ofslight consistent theme runningthrough it.
