USED CHARACTERISTICS OF AUTHENTIC ACTIVITIES

Authentic activities comprise complex tasks to be investigated by students over a•sustained period of time Activities are completed in days, weeks and months rather than minutes or hours. They require significant investment of time and intellectual resources. To structure this activity learners need more time to complete this activity and they further need to use different resources.

•Learners have more opportunity to do this work at the specified time they have been instructed do deep research using different resources

Page 19: My class activites

Authentic activities provide the opportunity for students to examine the task from different•perspectives, using a variety of resources The task affords learners the opportunity to examine the problem form a variety of theoretical and practical perspectives, rather than allowing a single perspective that learners must imitate to be successful The use of a variety of resources rather than a limited number of preselected references requires students to detect relevant from irrelevant information. Learners are not limited from doing research and they can go an extra mile from what is expected through the use of different resources they are not limited hence the this assignment do not only encourage the to only do this activity on the classroom but it encourage to go outside and the research that would accommodates their needs
