SAP at Mobile World CongressSAP Speaker Sessions

Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP has been invited to contribute as keynote speaker to Mobile World Congress. This is a recognition of SAP vision and leadership in facilitating innovation worldwide. SAP’s “Run Simple” vision allows companies and organizations to redefine the way they run by cutting across silos and fragmented, outdated processes by offering a single platform to open up innovation and scale across their businesses. So they can keep pace with the massive amounts of data being generated today and deliver insights in real time, helping them invent what’s next without disrupting what’s now.

Tuesday 3rd March 2015 14:00-15:30 PM Hall 4 Auditorium 4Wearables featuring SAP VP, Mobile Solution Management Josh Waddell

The burgeoning wearables market is exploding with shipments forecast to grow from 22 million in 2014 to 135 million in 2018 (CCS Insight). Fitness trackers are the fastest-growing category but the scope of the market is almost unlimited. For example, implantable sensors may herald a new era for healthcare, yielding truly life-changing outcomes. Workplace wearables are also attracting attention, whether for airline security or enabling warehouse workers to access information while keeping their hands free. Yet however undeniably exciting the prospects are for wearables, barriers to adoption persist and not everybody is convinced of their mass-market appeal or real utility. Should wearables for men look the same as those for women? How ruggedized do they need to be? Is the smartwatch a smartphone killer? And can the launch of the Apple iWatch galvanize the wearables market to go mainstream?
