Awise person once said,Firemen do not sit aroundand pray about what to do about
a re. They know where the re
is, and they rush to the source
to put it out. Like remen, weknow where the re of
abortion is in Minnesota, and we
know the number of casualties.
In 2009, nearly 13,000 abortions
occurred in Minnesota. Forty-
six abortions were performed
on girls aged 15 and under, and
2,890 women reported they had
aborted at least once before.
Twenty years ago, March 1,
1990, Metro Womens Center
began putting out the re of

that they would fall in love
with their babies and they

But seek first the Kingdom
God and His righteousness
and all these things shall
be added to you. Therefore

Ultrasound ReferralsMetro Womens Center provides referrals for free educational
ultrasounds for women who are undecided or abortion-
determined about their pregnancies. An ultrasound helps the
mother see her unborn childs movements in her womb and hear
her babys heartbeat, and is a life-afrming experience. Fourwomen accessed free ultrasounds through the Center this year and
all four chose life!
The Acacia Fund MWCs client assistance fund distributed more than $600
in nancial assistance for rent, transportation and other
client expenses.
HOPE Program: (Helping Others Parent Effectively)Eighty-three families initially enrolled in the HOPE Program
with thirty-seven families completing the program. These
families received baby clothing, equipment, 24 cribs/Pack &
Plays, 10 infant car seats, and more than 300 packages of diapers.
Cradle of Hope and Life Fund AssistanceThrough our partnerships with the Cradle of Hope Motherhood
and Life Funds, forty-two mothers received nearly $15,500 in

Hope-Filled Truth:
Hopeless Lie:
Im not ready for this kind
huge responsibility.
What did you like about the Center?
Advisor did not judge me; very concerned about me; I felt respected, they listened to me.
I liked the great loving and kind attitude; very generous, I felt comfortable.
The free pregnancy test, it was quick and easy; they explained things well.
This place feels like home; center is quiet; convenient and organized.
They offered me great resources and good spiritual advice; very encouraging.
The questions asked helped me see how I could get on the right path.
The visit was really helpful; service was good, very sensitive staff, I liked their honesty.
Center has many items my children need through the HOPE program.
I was greeted warmly and in a welcoming way; relaxing place.
The Center is very clean and they encouraged me to stay close to God.
They gave me helpful information and I learned abortion is not the best idea.
What did you dislike about the Center?
Need more locations; make a very big sign in the street with the name on it.
Offer bus tokens and other stuff without us having to do things to earn the items.
Asked too many uncomfortable questions; very judgmental and pushy.
Anyone should get diapers and wipes no matter what the situation or the age of children.

Metro Womens Center has exper ienced a largenumber of requests from pregnant womenseeking housing over the past 20 years. Within 50
miles of MWC, there is one small maternity home
equipped for pregnant women. The number of womenneeding housing far exceeds that homes capacity.
In response to this great need, in 2003, MWC began
a capital campaign to establish the Amazing Grace
Home (AGH).
The Amazing Grace Home will minister to the needs
of pregnant women by providing them with safe,
Christ-centered housing. The home will provide
each resident with basic needs, such as food, shelter,
discipleship and life-skills training. Each resident
will be offered opportunities to explore decision-
making options in order to create a parenting or
adoption plan for her child.
AGH will house women who are in their rst 20
weeks of a pregnancy and are at least 18 years of age.
A pregnant woman will be considered for the

program with the understanding the home uses
Biblical principles as a guide for change. Each
womans application will be considered on its own
merit and reviewed by an application team prior
to admittance.
Our hope is Amazing Grace residents will learn to
see themselves through Gods eyes. This new vision,
gained through Gods Word, will provide hope for
those who were once without hope. We believe it is
through the power of Gods love, forgiveness and
restoration that true life changes can occur.
OUR TWO-FOLD GOAL
To raise a minimum of $400,000 by the end of 2012
in order to establish the home.
To secure future funding for operating expenses of
$75,000 annually.
