Nice write up. One similar reason, when you say that the Colleges/ Unis are run by businessmen, the same

is true for EduTech startups today! How many EduTech startups in India have been started by actual

teachers? I know only one, www.tutorvista.com and that was acquired by Pearson Group if I am not wrong.

Rest of all the websites you see today are from young people with 2-3 yrs of teaching exposure or none at

all!! Most of them know how to build a website or an app, but know very little about how education must be

delivered.

I think, if more teachers showed initiatives in this field, things will change.

What has been happening is, some IT / Web Developers get together and the short sighted VCs fund them.

Then they go on a hiring spree for teachers and experts.

More insights on this will be appreciated.

To anyone who is worried about the state of Indian Education system, please hang in there....I just want to

tell you that many of usare trying to changethis situation and actually work for the benefit of the next

generation. Please don't commit suicide dueto immense pressure. Life is much more than class 12 board

exams. In the long run these stupid exams dont even matter. Its your knowledge and experience that

matters. Do what you love and once again just hang in there, we are working on this situation.
