music.osu.edu Dan White, a fifth-year jazz studies and music education major, released his first CD, Between the Lines, produced in the School of Music’s new recording studio SCHOOL OF MUSIC SPOTLIGHT ON... ALL THAT JAZZ The recording/production studio is part of the Music, Media and Enterprise (MME) program, and opened last spring in a suite in Mershon Auditorium. Designed by Mark Rubinstein, a Grammy- winning sound engineer who joined Ohio State as an audio engineer, the facility includes two modular sound isolation rooms, a mixing surface, ProTools audio production software, and a full complement of microphones and signal-processing gear. The Ohio State University School of Music is a remarkable place where dedicated people make exceptional music, stimulate artistic growth, explore educational methodology, and conduct ground- breaking research. The School is home to over 550 music majors, plus hundreds of students pursuing a music minor, taking course work, or participating in the ensembles.
