Music Video analysis: Wiley Cash in My Pocket Wiley’s Cash in my pocket contain all types of modes(Narrative, Concept and Performance) but less narrative. Narrative is used during within the lyrics of the song to create a storyline for the video, “money in my pocket”. Concept is used as the video follows the theme of an office workplace. Performance is used through the majority of the video, the staff are seen dancing to the lyrics and beat of the song. The hybrid of these modes makes the music video appealing to more audiences as the modes show the different aspects of the music video, which would appeal to different audiences but in this case the video has something for everyone. Genre Mise-en-scene is use through out to create the location (An office building in London) for the video, various buildings can be seen during the opening scenes, this could have been done to make the videos audience more familiar with the actual video without them actually having to see the whole video. The way the staff of the office building is dressed helps the video to adhere to it office workplace concept. Editing this video is very unique in the fact that it does not contain any editing, everything was filmed in one take. The video its self seems to be have filmed with a hand held camera. Cinematography this music video contain a lot of different types of shots but it mostly consists of close ups, medium shots and long shots. Representation The actors are seen to the audience to be smartly dressed and sophisticated in order to adhere to the music video theme of an office in London. They are also seen as fun or even childish to the audience so in this way this video subverts from the typical representation of bankers.
