The Script have certainly put Dublin,

Ireland on the map. The alertnative rock trio

Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and

Glen Power formed in 2001 under the Sony

Label Group. However they didnt truely

grab our attetnion until 2007, when they

performed "We Cry" for the first time

on the show BalconyTV in Dublin. Releas-

ing their debut single "We Cry" on 14 April

2008, it peaked at number 15 on the UK

Charts, giving them their first top 20 single.

Their second single, "The Man Who Can't

Be Moved", released on 15 September

2008, reached number 2 in Ireland, Den-

mark, and the UK. The band released their

debut album, The Script, in August 2008.

Following the success of their second single

the album entered the Charts in the UK at

number one and stayed there for eleven

weeks. Their first award in 2008 at

the World Music Awards for 'Best Selling

Irish Act' of 2008 and on 19 February 2010,

for 'Best Live Performance' at the Meteor

Ireland Music Awards continued to see their

success grow. Recently the Script have

been making the charts with their single

Hall of Fame feat. will.i.am. Which

reached number one in the UK charts for

two weeks.
