  • Music Matters visits Kilkenny with Thanks to Irish Rail On Sunday 14th June, Music Matters travelled to the beautiful "Marble City" of Kilkenny. This was made possible with thanks to the Irish Rail "Journey's on Us" initiative for community groups around Ireland Some members from our Musical Memories choirs and newly established Memory Lane choir, also joined us for the trip The sun shone down on us, as we took in some of the historic sights, doing some singing outside St John the Evangelist Church, shopping, lunch and seeing a spectacular show "Movie Mayhem" at The Watergate Theatre. At lunchtime, we performed alongside Kilkenny Gospel Choir at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre - where we got a very pleasant surprise! There was a crew from Irish TV; filming "Kilkenny Matters" - which was broadcast on Friday 26th June at 8.00 PM watch it here! http://www.irishtv.ie/kilkenny-matters-53/

All at Music Matters are very grateful to Irish Rail for choosing us as one of the winners of the 2014 "Journey's on Us" initiative. We are also very appreciative of MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre Kilkenny, Kilkenny Gospel Choir, Irish TV and The Watergate Theatre for making our trip to Kilkenny special and memorable for all of us
