Galapagos Duck is an Australian jazz band which began in 1969, and which has an extensive international touring track record, as well as a substantial discography and a long and much enjoyed residency as the house band in Sydney's The Basement for many years.

Horst Liepolt is a jazz producer and artist born in July 1927, and active in both Australia and the United States. Magazine editor, jazz festival deviser and promoter, and jazz enthusiast, he was the jazz man for many years. He has a detailed wiki here.

Nathan Waks has had a long and honourable career in Australian chamber, classical and modern music. He was in the 1990s head of music at the ABC, and for a time was principal cellist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, before retiring to more pleasant pursuits, such as being executive director and proprietor of Kilikanoon Wineries, here.
