Students have access to printing in black and white as well as in color in the media center. If they are using the media center with their whole class and the teacher is with them, they get the first 2 prints FREE. When the students come in to print on their own without a teacher with them, they will be charged a small price for printing per page.

Black & White prints are $.10 per page

Color prints are $.75 per page.

Return to ExhibitPrinter PricesWe do have access to FREE printing within the 2 computer labs within the school, but they are only allowed into the labs with a teacher present. Therefore, that leaves us with a lot of students visiting the media center to print out their work. The school purchases the printer cartridges for the labs while the media center has to supply our own cartridges. Students are always amazed to hear just how much the cartridges are to replace in each of the printers, especially in the color laser printer.17Museum Entrance

XXXXXXXXXI had to have 2 slides of the floor plan within the presentation in order for it to work properly. Since we needed to send the file over the Internet the PDF I had linked to the certain slides would not allow it to function right.19Reference books are those you might use while researching a topic for a paper or project. Here at Chestatee, we have moved all of our reference books into their own room which also gives students access to a large conference style table to spread the books out. Reference books may be checked out, but only for the evening. They need to be returned the next day for other students to have access to them. The laptops within our reference room are intended for our online Spanish students.

I returned to the educational field as a computer lab manager at West Hall Middle School after a 15 year break. I then transferred to East Hall Middle School as a technology teacher. After about 2 years, I was fortunate to become the media specialist here at Chestatee. I enjoy working with teachers and students. Learning new technology is a passion of mine.Lana Nix Media SpecialistNote: Virtual museums were first introduced by educators at Keith Valley Middle School in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
