MURRAY THOMAS – Lead Vocals, Congas, Percussion and Acoustic Guitar

This band is blessed with the Farnhamesque vocal power of Murray Thomas. His soaring and swooping vocals allow this band to sing anything and be able to cut it live !!

He has previously played in the Santana Project, Janski Noise and 2112, and has written some world class original tunes. Coupled with his mischievous sense of humour and mindless optimism the live shows are always entertaining.

LUKE GEORGE – Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals

Luke is not only part of the powerful vocal ensemble within the band, but forms the second part of the "duelling banjos" with Steve Bedford. The Donald Fagen quality of Luke's voice along with his lead guitar solos are a highlight of the show.

“Having the privilege of playing and singing with some of Australia’s finest musicians over the years, Luke has also supported world class acts such as The Pointer Sisters and Mondo Rock. He always has a ball whenever the “Brothers” unite.

GREG EASTWOOD – Keyboards, VocalsFrom his early days in bands of the calibre of the Kerrie Miles Band, the Chris Lloyds Band {ex Big Red}, and Mixt Lollies, Greg spent lots of time in the mid eighties touring and supporting such well known acts as the Pointer Sisters, Mondo Rock, Dragon, the Choirboys, and the Party Boys. In the late 90`s and to the here and now he has been recording and co-producing albums culminating in the “Swallowing Suns” album for the band Janski Noise and the "One More Shot" album for the country rock / blues band – "The Rain" released in March 2010.

STEVE BEDFORD - Lead guitar, Vocals

Steve has been playing guitar for 30 years and played extensively in the Brisbane scene.

He has been the lead guitarist for rock band 2112 (later known as Janski Noise) for many years, and has also played with Aquaduck, a jazz-funk outfit from the Sunshine Coast.

For the last 10 years he has been recording extensively, and now plays in the Freewheelin' Franklins and the Santana Project. He recently finished recording "Firewalker", an album of instrumental guitar tracks, and is now working on analbum of acoustic guitar pieces.

Ian Belcher Drums, Vocals

Began drumming with the school fife band in Primary School. Started jamming and playing in covers bands at 14. He also plays guitar and began writing songs at an early age. Spent some time in Sydney working as a Roadie. Formed an originals band in the late '70s playing in and around Brisbane. A country lad at heart, Ian moved with wife and kids to Maleny in ’89 seeking a country lifestyle. Later settled in Buderim. Established Alien Sound Studio and Sound Hire in 1996. Collaborated with Song writing partners 'Janski Noise' to create the album 'Swallowing Suns'. Ian continued playing with covers bands, session work and theatre drumming until joining The Rain in 2003 and producing two of their albums.

GARY BROADHURST – Bass

Gary started his musical career early, having played guitar and then bass . With ‘Carol Lloyd Band’, Gary toured nationally and had two number one singles locally. Another album was released in France and Sweden. He has played in support bands for The Doobie Bros, Peter Allen and Kevin Borich Express and Renee Geyer. Working in soul band Big City , and with guitarist Ewan Mackenzie, and blues legend Wylie Reed and Makonda. Worked with “Junkstaposition”, “Hubbub” and also Blues Brothers show. Now playing with the “Tim Gaze Band”, “The Santana Project” and various festivals.
