Method 2: Direct Multiplication

(3x + 2)(x + 3) =

3x2 +9x +2x + 6= 3x2 + 11x + 6

2. Find the result of (3x – 2) (2x – 6)Solution:

(3x – 2) (2x – 6) =

Method 1: Distributive Property

= 3x

(2x – 6)

– 2(2x – 6)

= 6x2 – 18x – 4x + 12= 6x2 – 22x + 12
