We do not recommend this. It is extremely demanding to be a teacher full-time and take courses, pass TPAs, AND you miss out on the experience of a cooperating teacher.
BUT…if you do get a job: You can only work in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Calaveras, Tuolumne,
and Mariposa Counties. Contact Julie in Field Services IMMEDIATELY if offered job (short
term staff permit OR internship). Try to do Short Term Staff Permit if at all possible If it is the Intern Credential, then be sure to also contact the Credential Services office
at 667-3534. Short Term Staff Permit (STIP) Intern
The district will determine if this is an option for you.
The university will determine if you are intern eligible.
