THE BROADEST SELECTION AVAILABLE. PURE AND SIMPLE.
MECO is a leading manufacturer of multiple effect distillation systems for the production of Water for Injection (WFI) with hundreds of installations worldwide. We have the broadest product line in the industry with sizes that range from 72 gph/hr. (273 kg/hr.) to 3,966 gph/ hr. (15,013 kg/hr.). MECO multiple effect distillers are designed to produce Water for Injection (WFI) in accordance with all recognized pharmacopoeia. The ME stills are modular in design and include options for simultaneous and exclusive pure steam production. In addition, the MECO multiple effect stills meet or exceed the latest cGMP requirements, including sanitary construction features such as double tubesheet exchangers (first effect, interstage and condensers), sloped piping, low point drains, no dead legs and sanitary connections. MECO ME stills come equipped with a dual condenser mounted above the unit for gravity flow into the WFI tank. Our generators offer various options including a condensing and sampling system to ensure the product quality.

NATURAL CIRCULATION
The MECO design is based on natural circulation which provides uniform heat transfer and wetting, thus reducing the effects of scaling or premature failure of the evaporator due to corrosion.
ADVANCED PLC CONTROL SYSTEM
Using PID loops with transmitters and control valves on the process utilities enables MECO multiple effect stills to operate in a stable and uninterrupted
manner regardless of external influences. PID loop control of feed water level and WFI temperature provides for stable, reliable operation..

SUPERIOR SEPERATION
MECO multiple effect stills utilize a vertical disengagement section, stainless steel baffles and a demister which provide superior separation and dryness at reduced flows over those which utilize centrifugal forces.
MODULAR STAINLESS STEEL SKID
The modular skid for MECO multiple effect stills is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, flexibility and easy delivery. Adaptable to most any production space, the stainless steel skid is easy to clean and maintenance free.

OPTIONAL SIMULTANEOUS OR EXCLUSIVE PURE STEAM PRODUCTION
For applications where pure steam is required, but a separate pure steam generator skid is not optimum or feasible, every MECO multiple effect still can be equipped with a pure steam option. The pure steam option allows your MECO multiple effect still to produce pure steam simultaneously with WFI, or operate exclusively as a clean steam generator. MECO offers the broadest range of pure steam capacities available from a multiple effect still and can specifically size a pure steam option to meet your project requirements.
OPTIONAL VARIABLE CAPACITY, TURN DOWN TO 80%*
Depending on your production capacity, MECO offers an optional variable capacity which can allow for turn down up to 80% on our standard units.
