Multimedia Technology and Graphic Image Processing Research directions of multimedia technology and graphic image processing include computer image and video processing, visible computing and analysis, multimedia network and cloud applications. Recently, we publish papers on high rank international journals such as ACM Transaction on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer Aided Geometrical Design, The Visual Computer, Graphical Models, Computer-Aided Design, Computer Graphics Forum, Computer&Grahpics, IEEE Transaction on Image Processing , International Journal of Computer Vision, PLOS ONE , IEEE Transaction Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, BMC Bioinformatics, BMC Cancer. We also publish papers in important international conferences like SIGGRAPH, Eurographics, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, Geometric Modeling Processing, Shape Modeling International, BIBM,DASFAA, ICNP. Some of our results have been awarded the State Administration of Radio Film and Television Science and Technology Innovation Award and the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. We undertake 20 state-level research projects and more than 50 provincial and city level research projects. We have a board academic exchange and collaboration with New York University, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Chinese University Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Kyoto University. Processing

Research directions of multimedia technology and graphic image processing include computer

image and video processing, visible computing and analysis, multimedia network and cloud

applications. Recently, we publish papers on high rank international journals such as ACM

Transaction on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer

Major research directions include image segmentation, image registration, image/video encoding,

saliency detection, image retrieval, biometric template protection, image representation, image

and video sequence super resolution reconstruction, multimedia information authentication

technology, video analysis aided driving and intelligent transportation, biomedical image analysis,

medical and biological data analysis information science, facial contour recognition and

extraction based on image rendering, video stabilization and stitching.

Visible Computing and Analysis

Major research directions include geometric modeling, shape editing and deformation,

dynamic geometry reconstruction, compression and manipulation, CAD/CAE integration,

mesh segmentation, smart clothing, human motion health intelligent computing, key

technology, digital animation 3D lunar terrain visualization, etc.

Major research directions include theory and key technology of high performance,

low power consumption, and large scale multimedia network, integration of

heterogeneous network video transmission, cloud and software defined network media

communication and transmission technology, based on social network intelligent

perception and information science, big data fast handover of mobile Internet and

the integration of heterogeneous wireless networks, multi modal space correlation

analysis and prediction, data mining and privacy protection technology, mobile user

behavior data of mobile human-computer interaction.

50 余项。学科方向开展了广泛的学术交流与合作,与纽约大学、哈佛大学、宾夕法尼亚大

学、香港中文大学、香港浸会大学、日本京都大学等开展了合作研究。学科方向现有教授 6

分析的辅助驾驶和智能交通、生物医学图像分析、医学大数据分析和生物信息学,基于图像

的渲染、视频稳定化和拼接,人脸轮廓识别和提取等。

多媒体网络与云应用

主要研究方向包括高性能、低能耗、大规模多媒体网络理论与关键技术、面向异构网络融合

视频传输、云环境与软件定义网络相关媒体通信与传输技术、基于大数据的社会网络智能感

知与信息处理、移动互联网快速切换和异构无线网络融合、多模态时空数据关联分析与预测、

移动用户行为大数据的挖掘及隐私保护关键技术、移动人机交互等。
