A turn and cut-off tool for Swiss type lathes up to bar diameter 32 mm. The cutting inserts consist of two cutting edges and will be mounted on tem-pered tool holders with a cross section from 8 mm to 20 mm. The insert seat, which is protected from contami-nation, warrants a repeatability of < 0.01mm and allows a 100 % utiliza-tion of all cutting edges.

The turn and cut-off system 1600 is suitable for Swiss type lathes up to bar diameter 10 mm. The cutting inserts consist of two cutting edges and will be mounted on tempered tool holders with a cross section from 7 mm to 20 mm. The insert seat war-rants a repeatability of < 0.01 mm and allows a 100 % utilization of all cut-ting edges.

That serie consists of ideal coordi-nated ISO standardized inserts and insert holders. On tool holders with a cross section from 8 mm to 25 mm we offer a very large selection of inserts with many different chip breaker geometries, carbide grades and coatings.

Holes from Ø 7.8 mm to 16.0 mm can be machined with these one cut-ting edge inserts. This insert will be mounted on the front face of a steel holder or for deeper holes on a car-bide holder. We offer a large selection of reasonable priced inserts for I.D. turning, grooving, threading and face grooving.

The inside cutting of smallest holes can be machined with turning, grooving and threading tools from Ø 0.5 mm to 8.0 mm. The tools will be mounted in hardened holders, which can be mounted directly in the machine or in collet holders. The carbide cutting tools have an accuracy repeatability inside the holder of < 0.01.

This advancement of the ISO stan-dardized inserts allows the ideal pre-cision turning. The reinforced insert with 86° cutting angle allows front and back turning with large feed rates and still results in very nice surface quality and finishes. Compared to wiper geometries, our TOP geometry is cutting much easier and softer.

The development purpose and goal of this tool was to machine a hole with a flat bottom efficiently. Originated is a tool which can drill into solid material, I.D. turn the hole and face turn the part. We have tool holders and inserts available from Ø 8 mm to 32 mm with maximum depths up to 2.25 × Ø for many different materials.

These drills made from carbide, avail-able from Ø 0.3 mm to 20.0 mm, distinguish themselves through their stability, accuracy and self centering ability. With internal cooling they are also available from Ø 1 mm. The HX coating improves the tool life signifi-cantly.
